Just been reading on Dackarna's website that young Swede, Christian Isometta, is going to be heading for our shores next year. With him riding in the Banks Olympique tonight, I'd guess Wolves are looking at him closely.

The Banks Olympique scheduled for last night was postponed. No news of a restaging date, though it looks like Wolves only have Tuesday 28th available to them.

Christian Isometta was due to ride in the Olympique, but this was more a view to adding to the already impressive assets list of young riders.
Wolves already have Tai Woffinden lined up next year and once the AGM is done and dusted, you should be seeing Nicolai Klindt added to the 2009 team and could be joined by another good teenager in Lewis Bridger.
Lewis has already stated he wants away from Eastbourne next season and there will no doubt be a few tracks after the lad but has said Wolves are very much an option.
He guested yet again for Wolves in their final meeting and scored 8+1 after a pointless first ride and yet again showed his liking for the Monmore track with some great passing. He finished the night with a Skornicki doughnut and then a complete lap of the track on his back wheel.
Fredrik Lindgren wants to continue with British racing and will be expected to be back in 2009 as long as the rules allow him to do so. He obviously will want to improve on his GP status and knows he made mistakes this year, but that was useful experience.
Niels K Iversen has been very popular with the fans and increased his average to 7.82 despite injuries that finished his season so early. Will Peterborough want him back or for that matter will he want to go back ?
One rider that has actually done well for Wolves in his short spell with the club is Morten Risager who has scored well and done it home and away before breaking his wrist at the end of the season. The problem with Morten is that he is owned by Swindon and his average of 4.42 would put him at reserve ahead of Klindt.
If Wolves go for a more solid line up and can get Risager and Klindt at reserve then fine, but Klindt has to be at reserve for the club to benefit.
8.32 Fredrik Lindgren -.-- -.-- 5.10' Lewis Bridger 4.75' Tai Woffinden 4.47 Nicolai Klindt -.--
' unsure of final average

And as kevh points out in another thread, Polish champion (still hard to believe that) Adam Skornicki is heading back to Monmore Green for 2009: www.wolverhampton-speedway.com/news.php?extend.633I'm afraid that is just classic CVS being behind the curve - Skornicki had an outstanding season in 2008, but I fear the only way his average is going is down.

This could be an astute move by the Wolverhampton promotion, as PK is sure to be one of the top riders in the league, and given the correct back-up, Wolves should do well.

Wolverhampton expect to reach agreement with Fredrik Lindgren for 2009 when the Swede returns from a holiday in Thailand: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2008/12/28/czekaja-na-lindgrena/However, with the news that Newcastle have signed Kenni Larsen and Steve Boxall, that means there's no room in the Premier League for Chris Kerr (already announced by CVS as a "doubling up" rider for the Wolves) on an assessed average of 8.00. Kerr failed to meet the requirements for an automatic renewal of his work permit and that means he has to re-apply, which in turn means a return to an assessed 8.00 average (Ryan Fisher was in a similar situation last season and was saddled with an 8.00 average at Edinburgh). I sense a "special dispensation" coming for BSPA "big wig" CVS, don't you?

Wolves team looks pretty decent to me Hard to say. I'm not convinced by either Fredrik Lindgren or Nicolai Klindt. But PK should ease the strain on Lindgren. I'd put the Wolves down for mid-table.
