If it wasn't for the fact that we'd only have to put up with the gripes and whinges (henceforth known as gringes) from the forumites about poor old Scotty only getting 11th because the Polewegian, the Ozzy and the Ruski beat him and it's not fair, then I'd almost (and I use the word carefully) be willing to see him in the GP next year, just to see him get beaten every week. You forgot to mention about him being confounded by the weirdness of the Walasek. Come on squirlie, the guy is ever so slightly weird, you have to admit it. He has that appearance of being other-worldy and on a somewhat different plain of existence to mere mortals.

I know...and that's why I like him. I like my men slightly off kilter

Radio WM speedway reporter Kevin Matthews has been banned from Monmore Green after suggesting that there would be no relegation even if Wolves were to lose to Edinburgh over two legs. Apparently Peter Adams rang the station to complain and appeared on the Tony Butler show to "put the record straight".
Peter Adams is a flapperjack!

Adams has always been a flapperjack of the highest order.
I detest him with a passion for reasons going back to his business exploits in the mid 90's

For goodness sake, how bloody daft can you get - you can't ban the bloody media from speedway.

Not much to go on so far. You're gonna have to do better than this you know! Grachan, surely Peter Adams has to be the favourite to win now?

For goodness sake, how bloody daft can you get - you can't ban the bloody media from speedway. Edinburgh used to ban Dick Barrie at regular intervals when they were at Powderhall. But the reporter is, in essence, right. Wolverhampton won't be relegated unless they want to be relegated. If they lose to Edinburgh they can simply re-apply for a place in the Elite League, as Matt Ford explained to us: It was going to be that way - promotion/relegation would be the only way in [to the Elite League]. But I tabled a motion, which was passed, that will allow any club who wants to come up to do so. There are 2 clubs who at this point in time have ambitions to come up from the PL. We need to be able to allow them to do that and increase the size of the league if we can, if and when they want to do it.

Well, it's now Saturday and I'm sat here a broken man.
I had it all worked out. It would be a lesson to us all Nobody would be FOTW because the world is a lovely place and we must all learn to live together and love each other. It was going so well too. All going to plan.
And what happens? Wolverhampton pop up at the last minute and decide to ban the media from Monmore Green and completely mess the whole thing up and leave me no choice but to bestow this dubious honour upon their promotion.
Oh well, there's always next time.

There's a lesson to be learned, grachan. Never under-estimate CVS and Peter Adams.
