Tomicek has been taking the piss, so it's good to see the Lakeside management acting quickly - a lot quicker than Coventry did with the missing Messing.

So we're hoping to name a replacement within 24 hours? Makes you wonder if this has been on the cards for a while.

Speculation on the BSF seems to suggest that it could be Tomicek out, Woffinden/Sajfutdinov in. If that happens Cookie will become a Lakeside legend overnight.

This years play offs are just getting more interesting by the day, cant wait to see who comes in. The BSF is also on overload over the 'will Jedrzejak ride at reserve' saga. Having looked into it, i dont see how moving him to reserve will help the Hammers, in fact i feel it would be a dangerous gamble.

Supposing I indulge in this for a moment, would Woffinden be allowed? Transfer deadline and all that?

Supposing I indulge in this for a moment, would Woffinden be allowed? Transfer deadline and all that? Schumi, I don't think it applies to No. 8 riders. Belle Vue have recently signed Tomasz Pish as their No. 8. Lubos is clearly not allowed to fly after his recent injury. Of course, Lakeside could just get a medical certificate, but not on a night he's riding elsewhere (his late granddad's meeting). So the only choice is to drop Lukas or to stay he is withholding his services - which he is kind-of, but through no fault of his own. I can't believe all the kerfuffle on the BSF. Lakeside have been ravaged by injury and are just trying to put out in the strongest side in the circumstances.

Ah yes, sorry. I was thinking the replacement would be directly for Lubos (number 7).

Ah yes, sorry. I was thinking the replacement would be directly for Lubos (number 7). Schumi, well it could be - if Lakeside can find a rider on a 4.00 average to come in. The transfer deadline is only for riders who have already rode for another club earlier in the season - it's perfectly OK to bring in a new foreign rider. But the other option would be to keep Lubos in the 1-7, put a 14 of 28 day ban on him for withholding his services, and then bring in a new no. 8 in place of the injured Nieminen.

The announcement of our new rider has been delayed for 24 hours because the riders' federation have to give their approval............the new line-up has been agreed by the BSPA. Makes you wonder if the newly crowned 2008 World Under 21 Champion will be wearing Lakeside kevlars on Monday, doesn't it?
