Well, it looks like a decent team, although Ross "gate and go backwards" Brady is a bit of a concern - try not to upset the Brady family, young paulco. Any news of anyone showing an interest in Elite League Ksiezak? He doesn't seem to have people jumping over each other to sign him, either here or in his beloved Poland.

You and i know that Robert Ksiezak is a long way from being an Elite League rider . Likewise in Poland he would no longer be a junior - so that would cool any interest . I think he'll pop up somewhere like Stoke .

I don't think he'll ever be Elite League standard, to be honest. And he'll only get a place in Poland if some club is desperate to fill their Polish quota. He might put in a lot of miles for not many rides.

He's a bit of a steal on his current low average - I saw him at Birmingham just before his injury last season and he picked up paid 14. Andersen should improve and he can push Brady down back to rerserve, it could give the Tigers a trump card at reserve. Of course, a lot depends on Juul.

Pressure on Brady and Josh, Tiggers can't afford a slow start or the pressure might be too much for the kids in the team.

And a change of plans for the heathen Tigers as the press and practice day is changed. It will now be held on March 19th, 2009, instead of a day earlier. As well as the press and practice, there will also be a "meet the riders" chance for the fans in the bar (is that to lure young paulco along?) at Ashfield. Here's the information: www.glasgowspeedway.co.uk/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1234820821&archive=&start_from=&ucat=1&All of which means that the "Messiah" has had to drop out of Tom P Madsen's testimonial.

All of which means that the "Messiah" has had to drop out of Tom P Madsen's testimonial. Why? If the press and practise day is on the Thursday and the testimonial is on the Friday I don't see why Parker would have to drop out.

I reckon this could end up as a permanent deal, because Lee Smart is a much better rider than Anders Andersen. Gives Glasgow much more strength at reserve - wouldn't be surprised to see them turn over the Monarchs twice when I'm up there in mid-May.

Seems Denmark's worst speedway rider is on his way out - to be replaced by 22 year old Swede Robin Tornqvist - who i've never heard of .

There's a brief interview with Robin in one of the Swedish papers today, where he says this opportunity to ride for Glasgow was set up by Stefan Ekberg, and that his contract is for the rest of the season. But he has a busy week - tonight he's riding in Division 1 in Sweden, tomorrow is the Swedish Allsvenskan, and then he's heading to Scotland (by bus and ferry) on Friday in time for Sunday's meeting. www.nwt.se

As was Tornqvist's Valsarna team-mate and ex- Tiger - Kauko Neiminen .
