Apparently the Panthers will only be slightly affected by not having the rider who beat JC three times on his last visit and scored 17 points: "In view of the problems we have had over this last week, I believe our boys will raise their game, the team spirit will be very good, these boys are professional riders and they have a job to do. This meeting is hard enough, but to go there without our number one will make it a little harder, Belle Vue are a good side especially at home and if they want to win it they are going to have to earn it we will not make it easy for them. Please support our riders, they will be giving their all for the club, and will continue to do so, we will not stop trying for a top 4 place until it is not possible mathematically. Good luck to our boys."

Jason is off to see a specialist tomorrow (Monday) and has said it's highly unlikely he will ride. Chris Holder and Bjarne Pedersen have made themselves unavailable so it looks like it's going to be either Tai Woffinden or Jason Lyons that spearheads the Aces side tomorrow along with Gjedde.

Panthers owner in call to supporters
Panthers owner Colin Horton has made a plea for support on the eve of the club's return to action. The city side travel to Belle Vue tonight in an Elite League B fixture without skipper Hans Andersen. The Dane is banned for 14 days after refusing to ride over tens of thousands of pounds of unpaid wages and sponsorship.
But Horton insists the club are still intent on challenging for an Elite League play-off place. LMFAO!
He said: "Please support our riders, they will be giving their all for the club and will continue to do so.
"We will not stop trying for a top four place until it is mathematically impossible."
The full article contains 166 words and appears in Peterborough ET newspaper.

I'm so jealous... my sister has just rung to say they are at Belle Vue ! Her first time at a speedway track since the late 70's, and first time ever for her husband and son. And we have no Hans for her to see either..... aarrghhh ! Never mind, at least with Crump out she might witness a slightly more even battle between the 2 teams..... I have asked her to waft some fumes down the phone...... ! I have serious withdrawal symptoms - need a methanol fix so badly!

Apparently there's a big fire near Belle Vue so the start has been delayed........

Does anyone really expect this fixture to take place on Monday? Have to say that I didn't so that was a positive for Peterborough. Due to Andersen's ban and Crump's injury the Belle Vue faithful were served up a poor fixture for top dollar.
