I nominate this prat texter on updates Heat 15: Andersen, Nicholls, Kennett, King(F) 57.6 3-3 (46-44) Line up: Nicholls Kennett Andersen King Eagles win the toss and take gates 1&3. From the gate. King fell on the first bend of lap 1 and stayed down wanting a re-run but the referee never stopped the heat. ETFC says that it serves King right for staying down on purpose. What a load of bollocks! Danny didn't "stay down". That Texter was talking like a knob. Danny got himself and his bike onto the centre green and out of the way. You sir! are an idiot, if you read the comments clearly, and then understand them, you will see what I was saying King fell on the first bend of lap 1 and stayed down wanting a re-run but the referee never stopped the heat. ETFC says that it serves King right for staying down on purpose.Whether or not Danny King over cooked it or not, he did stay down wanting it called back. To King's credit, once he knew the ref wasn't going to call it back, then he got off the track, but he stayed down wanting a re-run, you cannot deny that. It's moronic comments like that, that have made me have a break from texting, along with health problems and not enjoying speedway for a few weeks, why should I bother spending my own money texting from Eastbourne when all I get is stupid comments like, next time, think before you speak.

Rigsby is the Golem Swales? ;D I think you need to refer to the first post on page 2 when it says of nobby "You sir! are an idiot" I can't really top that as it's clearly the value post of the day ;D He does feed on wind ups so I don't think is deserving of an FJ award!

It's rare to see texters comments that are not biased , if I was texting I'd be so biased it would be unbelievable... ;D It takes me too long to text which is one reason why I don't offer, the other reason is the stick that the texters updaters get, it takes time out of a meeting and for me, would spoil it, I'd be looking at my phone all night This isn't a dig a nobby, as I understand how infuriating it is to go to a meeeting, come back and look at the updates and the comments are completely different to how I've seen it... but thats the nature of the beast, I'd rather have a few biased comments than no updates. Fair point well made Jacques! Pity Moron Marron has to get personal - obviously struck a chord!

I'm going to nominate Bob Radford. No particular reason apart from the fact he loves the sound of his own voice, comes across as condesending & arrogant and basically just gets on my tits.

Hmm
You really need to spend some time looking into how much exactly is spent on the updates. For an idea, my personal costs per season for the updates is in excess of £1500. This is purely for texts, add in a decent broadband connection, upwards of 60 hours a week making sure it all runs well by sourcing texters and updaters and actually updating, plus mega stress when things are going wrong behind the scenes which never make the light of day in the public area.
Also, the texter pays to get into a meeting just like anyone else, he/her has to pay for their texts or take out a more expensive package which allows for more texts to be sent. They miss out on the social side to the meeting as they have their heads stuck in their phones in between heats.
We rely on the texters, be they biased or not, which to be honest is only to be expected as they are on the most part texting from their home tracks at their own expense.
A normal meeting for the average texter will cost approx £5 to text from, take that over a season and it adds up to a fair bit, especially when some of our texters do not do just their own meetings but also travel to others and text from there.
I am so pissed off right now as yet again I have to source a texter from a track that is not the easiest in the world to find one from, more bloody stress.
And now you have made me completely and utterly expose who I really am now....grrrrrrrr

I prefer texters with a bit of bias Makes a change from bland, matter of fact stats. If you use the service for any length of time you soon get used to the "style" of each texter. They do a wonderful job, not one I would do nowadays due to the need to change specs just to see the ruddy phone, tho I have texted in the far distant past. I know exacly what effort it takes and it does indeed infringe on the social aspect of a meeting. As for updating, I've nothing but complete admiration for everyone who does it, having done it about 4 times last year and made cock ups on every single occasion . Still at least I tried which is more than most of those that complain have ever done

My nomination, again, goes to Chris from Rye House for, again, being a complete twat, trying to have a dig at Mildenhall, again, and sticking up for ''Mr Big Stuff'' Chris Neath. He certainly hasn't got balls, as he can't ride the dirt to save his life, and can only ride slick tracks like Rye House. Closely followed by Laurence Rogers - for refusing to change the crazy riding order that he has chosen for the Fen Tigers. It clearly didn't work on Sunday, and it's not going to on Thursday or Saturday, either.
