Just back from Geordieland and tonights flapper contestant has to be referee Craig Ackroyd . It was a cracking meeting with good racing and we reach heat 15 with Newcastle already 9 points up , therefore home and dry . You have the best 4 riders on the night - Franc , Henry , Grieves and Leverington lined-up at the tapes . Tapes go up and the four riders break in a line . Red light on - false start , why ....nobody knows not even the Newcastle announcer . 2nd go and fair enough Grievsy tries to jump it , but the tapes weren't touched and the red light is on again . This time Ackroyd excludes Grieves for erm .......delaying the start . Maybe James was a bit naughty the second time , but why deny the public a potential great race when the meeting is already over as a contest A wee bit of commonsense should have applied here to get the newbies to the sport gagging for more i would have thought .

oh, go on then I'll make it a nomination for a 3rd ref. David Entwhistle for excluding Jamie Smith from ht2 at Reading yesterday for being the cause of the race stoppage.
What he was suppose to do when he was the meat in an IOW sandwich on the first bend I don't know!

This is what i like to see . Referees taking their rightful place in the flapperjack thread . ;D Although the Grand Monarch hasn't pissed me off for a while , but no doubt this situation will only be a temporary oversight on his part .

Possibly ML, but a tad difficult when your being squeezed from both sides.
Unbelievable decision, not even out of the first bend & 3 riders all going for same line into the first bend. Didn't matter much in the grander scheme of things as Jamie would have been rule out of the re-run through injury, but another ref showing his true flapperjack credentials none the less.

I'm telling Sandie you did that Jacques - while Swindon are Oxford's arch rivals, I wasn't too pleased with the Poo Boy's actions during last year's play-off final - it's bang out of order to tear up a Swindon flag. I think he thoroughly deserves any stick he gets.

Paulco - I never thought I'd see the day you stood up for the Poo Boy Erm i wasn't , i was defending Jacques after you critisized her grammer . Pooboy is undefendable . I wasn't critising young Jacques's grammar, I was just pointing out if you removed three words, then instead of Stuart Wilson being a wnaker, the Poo Boy became a wanker.

would have thought your chairman was the clown harry,i'll happily trade you holloway for jacket His decision to accept a draw rather than go for the win. His inaction as regards to something more attacking with 20 minutes to play was the sign of a doomed and defeated man. But he's just one reason we've gone now but I am going to embrace this relegation like Man City did rather than moan about it like Leeds and Forest did.
