Most shocking news seems to be seeping out of South Wales today.
Newports home meeting against Rye House this afternoon has been postponed due to the sudden death of club promoter Tim Stone.
Reports on BSF indicate he suffered a heart attack.
Nothing confirmed although I find it hard to believe that anyone would make the statements they have on BSF if there weren't 100% sure. Clubcall apparently states the meeting has been postponed but not due to any weather problems.
Very, very sad news if true.

Whatever you thought of Tim Stone, to keep Newport going through some rocky years of late he must of loved his speedway.
My condonlences of course go out to Mr Stone's family, friends and all those connected to Newport speedway.

Sad indeed. He certainly had his critics, but then again name a Promoter who hasn't.
