Ok now the social side has been sorted, lets have some predictions..........mmmmm 40-50... Oh how much do I hope you're right Jacques! We've had some good Brandon results over the past few years, but sadly the truly stonking ones always seem to come in the face of adversity, and I'd prefer we didn't have too much of that this early in the season, so I'll say either a draw or a two point margin, but I refuse to be drawn on which way I think it might go!

I won't be there on Friday (no more away trips for me this season) but will be following our fortunes (if we get a bloody texter) on updates.

Not a good start for Schlein...
And Messing withdrawn.

But it ended with the Bees winning comfortably enough (52:37), in spite of continued poor scores from Schlein and Harris. Stead, Allen, Janniro and even Burza (9+3 from 7) were the stars on this occasion. A disappointing performance from the Witches, but more in line with what I expected from them this season. Swiderski continues to impress, but Louis, Miskowiak and Johnston were very poor. Johnston was a bad signing - only any good if he's at reserve.

Swiderski continues to impress, but Louis, Miskowiak and Johnston were very poor. Johnston was a bad signing - only any good if he's at reserve. That score flatters to deceive, let's just say that Coventry were slightly less crap than Ipswich . 3 riders can't carry the other 4, and it's bad news when Misko is forced to ride at No 1, and your No's 3 & 4 get in each others way. The obvious solution is put Louis at No 1 and Robert at No 3 until the new averages come out, and at least Misko might get a bit of confidence back. Olly Allen was the leading light in this Bees line up, ably assisted by Stead, and obviously losing poor Messing in a nasty looking crash, mean't that Burza took full advantage of his 7 rides. Bomber poor and a stroppy git, Schlein poor, and BJ still a thug . Was lovely to meet Booey, jacques and cousteau, beeone, but sadly we seemed to miss Gemini and 4 legged friend. Anyway well done Bees fans.

You'll have to enlighten me on the stroppy git incident badge, can't see from where we are?..Funny old meeting credit has to go to Stan, Olly and Steady, although Steady is bloody scarey the way he fights with his bike...Stan's little donuts at the end of his rides made me laugh, not quite up to the standard of Skornickis though ...I know badge and witch aren't happy with our BJ , but he doesn't take prisoners and is as hard as they come..not sure the pairing of BJ and Bomber is working too well ,they keep getting in each otnhers way...A better performance but something's not right at Coventry at the moment, it's lacking something but I can't put my finger on it... Horrible crash where Tacey took Andreas out, I was quite worried with him being on the track for so long, but hopefully it was just precautionary...hope he's ok Edit: it would appear from the meeting report on the Bees website that he looks to have escaped with whiplash... Thanks for the beer Booey, probably shouldn't have had it though..

Bomber was more than a stroppy git, he was a sly, underhand stroppy git too. Come on Harris - if you're going to make offensive gestures at the away fans have the balls to do it openly, take your fine from the referee and act like a man, don't do it behind your back like a school kid making gestures at the teacher from behind the desk lid! we gave Billy "fries with that" Janniro far more stick and he was adult enough not to let it phase him. Chris L was useless for us - he passed me on the A14 going home - I rang Badge to mention it as it was the only fucking thing he'd passed all night! Well done to Jarek & pats on the back and big hugs for Swidders - star of the show AGAIN! Johnno was disappointing - expected more from him on the Brandon track, and it now has me worried again about him as a signing. I guess once the averages change he'll drop top reserve with Tobi moving up though. Tobi had a nightmare middle of the meeting and a good start & finish. Also would have got one more point had the Captain not passed him totally pointlessly in one race! Misko doesn't like being at No. 1 - that much is clear, but I'm afraid if he can't get into his head that it's just another riding position, then he needs to consider if he's really cut out for a long-term career in speedway. Thanks to Tace for stepping in at short notice. Lovely to meet Jacques, Booey and Cousteau at last, nice also to see some of the regular crowd, Sandie, Nikki, Lora and Steve. I'll add to Badge's comment about it being a shame we missed Gem and the woof though. ONE day I'll get to meet Gem!!

We were crap, especially Louis Johnno and Misko. The rider orders have to be changed as we're already expecting to be 5-1d when Louis and Johnno go out together. Why are we unable to hold it together after 9 or 10 heats, it was the same on Thursday. On the plus side, good to meet Jacques, Cousteau and Bee one, and to catch up with all our other Cov friends. Heres to better luck on Monday at wolves.

Shame about that. I did come round to the first bend with Molly before the meeting but could only see Ipswich males. After some embarrassing incidents asking if people were members of the forum and being looked at blankly I decided not to risk it. ;D It didn't really help when I was looking for a Swindon lady last week (can't think of her name at the moment) and the person I spoke to turned out to be a man. Well, he was well wrapped up from the cold and only his eyes were showing....so that's my excuse. I don't suppose you will be very keen to come up for the next fixture? Or is that a silly question.

One of these days I'm going to come and say hello too Gemini, it's not on really, when I can clearly see you from where I sit... Anyway, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the victory parade from last night...
