Timmy me lad you should be ashamed of yourself. ;D But, he's not the only one in Coventry in that situation, is he? What about the "Poo Boy", for a start? I've seldom seen such a pathetic, inept display on a speedway track in my whole life.

Oh dear, my posts have been put on "moderator approval" at the Workington "Tapes Up" forum. My crime was, apparently, posting comments that undermined the lower end of the Workington team. It seems that "Tapes Up" believe that saying Workington's lower order are brilliant will be a self-fulfilling prophesy - sorry, but it'll take more than unfounded optimism to make a silk purse out of the sow's ear of a team that Ian Thomas has built. But, we now know that some of the Barbarians are fascists as well - I suspect I'll be banned before the end of the day.

Wasn't it just, I'm trying to decide whether he is scared, can't be bothered or is just shit...Nicholls scored the same as him and Harris put together ( without the bonus points)now that is plain disgraceful..

Wasn't it just, I'm trying to decide whether he is scared, can't be bothered or is just shit... I'd go for 2nd option, he just did not seem bothered to me, if he's scared he needs to go now, no point in carrying on. Shit? hmmmm I was close to selecting that option but I thought at times in the WTC last year he rode pretty hard, last night I got the distinct impression he ain't bovvered!

Don't know about that, but your signature on Easy Tiger deserves a nomination. It's a Hunter S Thompson quote, but I forget which one. But I think it's the one that ends: "In a world of thieves. the only final sin is stupidy."

What's wrong . Can the Workington faithful not see that no matter how many points the heat-leader dream team score , there are still going to be three races in which they have a pairing of two CL standard riders and 99% of the time they will lose 5-1s .

That's the one, with the implication that it's perfectly natural to lie, as long as you don't get caught.

If he was a member here, I suspect Stonehewer would be nominating young McGregor - head down to the Workington section for a laugh, young fellow. That's the one, with the implication that it's perfectly natural to lie, as long as you don't get caught. I don't think that's intended to be the implication. Anyway, just so others can make their mind up, here's the full quote: In a closed society where everybody's guilty, the only crime is getting caught. In a world of thieves, the only final sin is stupidity - Hunter S Thompson (1937-2005)

Much as we'd all like that to be a fact, it sadly isn't: Schlien scored 4 and Harris 11 making a total of 15, while Nicholls scored 12.

You're right ,Cousteau didn't put his scores in for heat 15 did he...

No doubt the fascist mob at "Tapes Up" are, as I write this, marching on Thomas Armstrong's Flimby base, to tell Keith Denham, the new owner of Workington, to pipe down after this: www.timesandstar.co.uk/2.1709/2.1894/2.1702/jane_loughran/2.1693/town_rl/2.1893/2.1712/2.1712/1.78550

I'd like to nominate Edward Kennett for his cringeworthy interview with Chris Louis on Sky last night.
