Ok think the time for announcing the winner has come.......I think!! My decision for flapperjack of the week award goes to (drum roll......) HMRC for losing all our details and putting all of us with school age children at risk of identity fraud. Must admit though, Steve Mc Claren was a close second. But I have had a personal apology from the Inland Revenue for losing my details Yeah so has my sister but mine hasn't arrived yet so they are still fucking idiots...not that the letter will change that. ;D

Indeed it does, but I doubt if we'll have any news from the BSPA Conference by then............oh well, such is life, I'm sure there will be some dererving sole. kev, if the boss agrees I'll take it on next week and then you can have the choice the week after if that helps. Thanks for the offer Jim, but I'll stick with it - I'm sure your turn isn't too far away.

My vote goes for Van Strapton !! every week as far as I am concerned. Doobydoo you've found yourself a freind here. I'm always on the back straight if work allows me to travel down to The Raceway. See you there in the season hopefully. Well I doubt you could miss me on the back straight or rather the mob I'm usually with .... just look for the bloody great big Hammers flag and I'll be somewhere in the region amongst about another ten lads...well old fella's really in truth. Look forward to seeing you in 2008.

Ok thanks, and what are they being nominated for then??What have they done or are going to do and to whom The GRA are Oxford's landlord's at Cowley and have yet to enter into an agreement with the Cheetah's for 2008 - Allen Trump won't commit to the Cheetahs in the Premier League until he has an agreement with the GRA. The GRA is, of course, rumoured to be looking to see all its stadia. Well that should be pretty easy - just get in a car, drive there and have a look. ;D Might take a while to have a look at all of them mind you but I'm sure they can manage it.

Whoops, a bit of a SCB moment there and I'll use the usual SCB retort: I knew what I meant, which was, of course, sell.

So the GRA is presumably the Greyhound Racing Association? I've just read that there are now only 30 tracks in Great Britain so is greyhound racing as a sport on it's way out or are the GRA at Cowley hoping to sell to another company who run greyhounds? P.S. I know what I mean even if it probably doesn't make sense to anyone else.

For example, in the North East we have tracks at Pelaw Grange, Sunderland and Newcastle. Greyhound racing is largely for the benefit of bookmakers, although at this time of year tracks become busy with corporate functions ahead of the Christmas holidays. The GRA, which is the Greyhound Racing Association, is largely a property company now and should be viewed as such. They'll sell to whomever offers them best price. I recall a while ago there was some talk of Avtar Sandhu buying.

Yes, Sandhu was reported to be interested at one stage, but more importantly, why is this thread still running, it's devaluing the current flapperjack thread, and as genghis will tell you, is against the rules!!
