Okay, nominations open for another week and of course we already have the standing nomination from schumi: Miss holier-than-thou, cheating, interfering, know-it-all condescending bitch. And not just flapperjack of the week. She gets my vote every time.

I've had a lovely cooked breakfast out in the garden in the sunshine , reading the paper and listening to Fivelive . So nobody has managed to piss me off yet . I shall wait to see who the referee for this afternoon's meeting is first .

I suspect it may be Daniel Holt from Chatham in Kent. He was the referee for last night's meeting at Berwick and it's hard to believe the SCB would bring him all the way from Kent for just a single meeting - I'd guess he's Rye House's tour referee. And I further suspect if we had a Rye House representative here, they'd be nominating him as flapperjack of the week. By the way, expect the crowd at Ashfield to be swelled by an impressive number of Rye House supporters. I was hugely impressed with the number who found their way to the cruel, crazy town last night.

my nomination ....
Steve Turner
i got a warning off him today on the BSF for swearing. i was told 'wrong forum' ;D
my post was in the 'facing the big man' thread.
all i said to Thommo was "Jesus loves you, everyone else thinks you're a wan'ker"
now, since when was a wan'ker a swear word? all i did was look it up and it's to do with religion .. from google "Wan Ker-Sin Industry: Religion Occupation: Monk Location: Hong Kong "
funny thing is, last night Lioness just deleted my post and left the others that had quoted me ... by this morning Steve Turnip had been in and hoovered up everything and gave my warning.

and before it gets deleted off the BSF, here's my reply...
for Steve Turner after my warning this morning ...
this thread is about religion i thought so for something quoted from google ...
"Wan Ker-Sin Industry: Religion Occupation: Monk Location: Hong Kong"
so there you are, i was just pointing Thommo in a different direction.
and anyway, if wan ker is a swear word, why can't you change it on the swear filter to 'pink fluffy fairies' like i'm sure you managed with flapper'jacks

I'm expecting a warning very soon, as I've just told a certain mod that he is talking a load of twaddle. ;D

And that's the real truth behind your original post is it, Steve? Were you ever a speech writer for Tony Blair in a previous existence by any chance?

I'm with you Honie, Steve Turner it is for the second week running (and for some weeks to come I think).
As I suspected, my warning on the BSF was not for anything I said there, but for what I said here.
Now that's a proper abuse of power, I can only assume he must be very short, as well as being a flapperjack!

Only met him once and very briefly, but my impression was that he was about average height. I'd be very disappointed if your BSF warning was for anything posted here.

And you honestly thought that everyone reading that thread would realise that you were referring to monks in Hong Kong....?

In the words of Sir Thomas More (well, at least according to "A man for all seasons"): "The world must construe according to its wits; this court must construe according to the law." The forum at large must judge young Hone's comments according to its wits, the moderators must judge it according to the rules. And young Hone seems to have, incredibly, a plausable case.
