Agreed. I believe Ole Olsen now has real compeition for this week's award, after Alonso's unsporting move in today's F1 qualifying. As bad as Schumacher's "parking" at Monte Carlo last year. Alonso's a wanker - he can't take beaing beaten by his emerging team-mate... just like Prost with Senna. Alonso a flapperjack? - definitely. Flapperjack of the week? - it's a close call for Sub to pick him and Olsen. All the best Rob

I think there are so many deserving winners we should have a first, second and third podium ;D

I think there are so many deserving winners we should have a first, second and third podium ;D Star Lady, I'm just glad it was a quiet week for flapperjacks last week, and I managed to get Paul Carrington through with a bit of persistance As for this week, it's a toughie for the old Mongol to decide on. I'd like to think Alonso will get it, because he made me exclaim "You bastard!" at the TV today, and Olsen didn't entice that response last Saturday!! ;D All the best Rob

Only because Olsen has done it so many times before

Only because Olsen has done it so many times before True. I think Olsen is actually more deserving of Flapperjack of the Decade, rather than confining it to any particular week ;D All the best Rob

If you look here: www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=FlapperjackFlapperjack actually has very positive connotations. It means, and I quote: 1. Flapperjack A really really hott and yummy pancake, also a name for a strangly attractive freshman. "Hey guys, look! Flapperjack" "Wow, he's totally hot" "Did you just say that about a freshman" "Yeah, I like all men" "LOL"

Thommo from the BSF would be another worthy winner, although I'm not sure if I should nominate him... as I may be struck down by a thunderbolt from his god ;D All the best Rob

Though to be fair, he is defending what he believes in.. He's just too narrow minded to see that not everyone else has to think the exact same thing. Plus, it does give several people entertainment to read. If you're not religious, that guy is like your dream to debate with.

Apparently he is of the " born again " variety of god-botherer - therefore making him totally off the planet in his devotion . I started reading that thread , but almost lost the will to live reading some of Thommo's ramblings . Best to stay well clear .

Well, in a way a good post rhidassa and by the way welcome to the forum. This is the forum where as yet there is not a pack mentality and thankfully for that reason I like it - and hope it stays that way. You hit on the problem with this chap, though really its all quite plain to see and no one needs a diagram do they? Its not rocket science though is it? So he is a 'Flapperjack accepted. Though quite a few of us have put ourselves forward for this accolade of 'Flapperjack' so its quite easily obtainable. No special skills required. Even the boss. Even if I could - I would not be able to answer his posts but really do really need to? Those that are; I feel disappointed with and they have gone slightly down in my estimation. I have said this before; why does someone on 'that' forum have to be so wrong for others have to be right? There is not a prize I am aware of. Nothing that can said or proved is going to change his mind that's obvious. Sorry, but as it still would be in my nature if I saw 6 lads beating up one even at my age, I would step in and try and stop it with a bit of hustling (I maybe small but I am a bit of a terrier.. ;D) then reason with them. Whatever the bloke has done to deserve it. I see nothing different here. Why this thread has not been locked it just amazes me what the mods on there do lock and what they do not. Anyway, that's my opinion and I know I can give that on this forum without fear. I understand the point of this forum is fun, so have some fun. Jim

Sorry Rob but as Rhidassa said he is good entertainment. If I could actually get on the BSF, I'd ask him if I'm god cos apparently me saying the racing isn't good at Lynn will stop people going. I'm that powerful ;D

And this week's flapperjack is the uber-golem of world speedway Ole Olsen, although, as has been said, a few people started to challenge him later in the week. But Olsen held on and is a worthy winner.

Thommo managed to get me upset which is not a pleasant occurrence for all concerned. I've removed meself from that thread for me own good. I don't think he should be in the running for the Laurels however, IMHO it'd give other Flapperjacks a bad name.
