Yes. Found it! Two matches in 1974. He scored 11 points in 10 rides - an average of 4.4. His worst average ever!!!

I wonder if there are any photo's of him in existence in a Bees race Jacket. I have never seen any before.

I've been misled here . I've always been under the impression the big 5 from this decade ( well late sixties , early seventies ) were Jim McMillan , Dougie Templeton , George Hunter , Bert Harkins and Ken McKinley .

I wonder if there are any photo's of him in existence in a Bees race Jacket. I have never seen any before. He only rode in two matches, but he was a Coventry rider, not a guest. I believe he was still a Wimbledon asset however. I'll see what else I can dig up on this, Jim.

That is why they were known as the 'big 5' because if you did not handicap them no one else had a flipping chance of beating them.
