And it would seem Holder is " the weird " rider of choice in the same way the BSF have taken Complin to there hearts, also agree with any comments made on this meeting one of the meetings you look at think I wouldn't mind a bit of that.
On a side note about Holder he is the talent in speedway at the moment in my eyes, the attitude the style all spot on, some thing will have to go seriously wrong if he doesn't make it to the top of the sport.
And his comments on Berwick.
Is the track bumpy Chris ?
" Yeah you can see that but you just get out there and ride it ".
One or two could learn from that !.

You know me I'm a stubborn sod and I shall not be moved. Noses and sharp objects springs to mind . The whole point of 'picking and choosing' is that you actually pick the odd meeting to go to and IMO this is one that will be worth the admission money so hoping you have a change of heart and take your place next to Vicki and Kylie

Well for those who missed this dont be fooled by the score, there was very little in the way of passing (or even attempts at it) and for my money I was more entertained when Berwick visited the other week. This is taking nothing away from any of the riders its just the way speedway can go at times and there seemed little or nothing in the track for any rider to exploit
Highlights: ht 4- Benji forgets who he was for an instant and nearly has Stoj in the fence down the home straight, holds on to second for a couple of laps before unlucily losing a chain on turn 1 last lap
ht 6- nice bit of team riding by Mills and Topinka who do ride well as a pair
ht 7- Brundle gates and looks good but Bunyan by him at the end of lap 3, interviewed at half time with Bunyan at half time confirms what many Lynn fans feel - Brundle doesnt appear to have the power on the straights and is there to be picked off ht 8- Lambert holds off Gathercole long enough for Mills to pull away, Gathercole closing quickly once by his 'team mate'
ht 12- Brundle destroys the tapes but before the green light goes on so is excluded for 2mins!
ht 13- Holder by Topinka coming out of 2nd bend lap 3, Tom looked upset with himself after the heat but gating was merely delaying the inevitable
ht 14- Brundle just holds onto his lead this time as Phillips makes an unsucessful dash for the line
ht 15- All reasonably close for 2nd (Nermark and Bunyan very close indeed across the start line lap 2) but nothing was going to stop Holder
IoW fully deserved to keep it as close as they did but somehow the meeting never really got going, perhaps the interview with Buster before the meeting with news that it was still raining at lunchtime today so little in the way of time for track prep was the key

Mind you the two that stick out in my mind were ace! For me the fact that there wasn't a lot of passing didn't detract from my personal entertainment. First I was really, really looking forward to watching Holder race at Lynn and second it was such an important match for us, one that we needed to get a half decent lead in so I felt edgy all night cos things weren't going our way and it was easier said than done to eek a heat advantage ........... but we all know the Lynn lads did their best and take a 5 point lead to the Island. I'm planning to go down to add my vocal support in the return .............
