Dickhead of the night went to Auty's mechanic who told the paramedic attending to him to get out of his way while she was going about her business. He was later made to go out on centre and apologise to the said lady. Muppet!!
What is it with mechanics this season . It's becoming the norm now that if a crash happens or a bit of contraversy occurs - a rider's mechanic turns into Johnny Rambo . Our own Trent Leverington's mechanic has decided to be his minder also on a couple of occassions this season . Is this the new tactic to rid the Derwent Park back straight of it's pond life ? Recruit them all as mechanics

it was the way it was said that was most annoying ... the paramedic in question was fuming and called the rider and mechanic an ungrateful bastard as she was trying to do her job. when she was told 'we don't need any of that fucking shit here', that's when she took offense and said she wouldn't be coming again if that's what speedway riders think.
i had a chat and hopefully calmed her a bit, and a couple of minutes later pointed her out to the mechanic so he could apologise as Brian Havelock had his ear bent by the ambulance driver.
good to hear there's no break on PLee's wrist, but with tissue damage sometimes that can be worse, so we'll wait and see.

His weirdness the Rempala found himself about £340 out of pocket a couple of years ago when his mechanic got involved in the whole Holta-Kasprzak incident. I think that was a fine handed down by Rempala's club Unia Leszno. The Kasprzak family ended up around £1,400 out of pocket after Robert Kasprzak, Zenon Kasprzak and their mechanics got themselves into mischief, while Krzysztof was spread-eagled on the track - Robert Kasprzak also found himself suspended for six months. And here's what happened: www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3uO4vNi-So

I've spoken to the medic in question, who I have the utmost respect for, this morning and she is still , quite rightly, fuming. When the mechanic did apologise, she was of the opinion that he was taking the piss somewhat and didn't realise the seriousness of his actions. Without breaking any kind of patient confidentiality, had the mechanic been allowed to do what he wanted to, it could have had very serious consequences.
Steve your actions are appreciated, she was very close to walking out last night, and only her professionalism and the welfare of any possible future casualties kept her there.
I wonder how the mechanic would have reacted if a medic had tried to interfere with an engine.
And all the Redcar fans are worried about is me doing them out of a few hits on their forum by putting updates on BSF. Priorities wrong IMHO.

she is still , quite rightly, fuming and i don't blame her ... the medics do their job out there in all weather and the riders are doing a dangerous job and at some time will need the help of these people, there's certainly no need to be abusive. just annoyed me last night to see the lady get treated like that and get to a point where she's ready to walk out. the way Josh Auty rode last night, he should be making friends with the medics, not enemies.
