Very surprised not to see Jonas back.Got him in on an 8 point average.I said at the beginning of the year he should get around the 6 mark and he did.Now was the time that he would hopefully go on to somewhere around the 7 mark and he isn't in!He was inconsistent, but that is to be expected in his first year. But seemed to show that he is a rider for the future.Gather from remarks on the BSF a deal couldn't be done.Surely he isn't expecting the world after just the one good season? ???Pity.Hope he gets fixed up somewhere else

From Newcastle's website:
Jamie Robertson has been stood down from the Newcastle Diamonds team.
The 21 year old, who has struggled throughout the season, has been told of the club's decision.
Newcastle co-promoter Darryl Illingworth said "We thank Jamie for his efforts this year, and of course we wish him all the best, but his performance this season has been very disappointing, especially away from home."
Robertson has managed just 16 team points from 28 away rides this season, averaging less than 2 points per match away from home.
Speaking to newcastlespeedway.net, Jamie said "I'd like to apologise, to say sorry to the fans for my poor performances in the last few weeks."
Newcastle are poised to announce Robertson's replacement this week, but club officials would not be pressed into confirming or denying speculation surrounding their new signing, saying "We are literally awaiting pen on paper, and until that has happened it would be incorrect to comment further."

There is speculation that Newcastle have signed 19 year old Dane, Peter Kildemand. Does anyone have any more information about this guy please? Born 1st September 1989 (aged 19) Rides for Fjelsted and Opole - just over 5 point average in the DSL. Scores inconsistently.

With two wins and two falls tonight, it looks like Newcastle could have unearthed a useful character here.
