I've moved our chat to here Paul, rather than hijack the other thread. I've had a squint at the previous results for this year, you've lost home and away..and are twelth and Worky are 5th in the league I don't know much about Premier league stuff really. This will be my first premier league meeting, whats Workington like as a track? I do hope there's a bar?

Oh jacques, are you slumming it across at the heart of barbaric country! If you had come across to the cruel, crazy, town you would have witnessed the North East battle.

Workington is quite a big track , but this year it is quite a bit slicker now that Stoney is back . There is a nice bar under the grandstand which is my first port of call . There is also a small bar on the back straight , but that is usually infested by low-lifes and neanderthals ( not recommended ) . The track is quite easy to find as you follow the signs for the train station and the track is just next door . Yes our season has not really been that successful so far in the league and the Comics are doing quite well , but we did win there in the league last year with the Messiah scoring a 15 point max . But all in all it's quite a good track to watch speedway and it's always a decent meeting between the Comics and the Tigers . ;D

The Workington track, located at Derwent Park, adjacent to the local Tesco and home of the local rugby league team, is 364 metres long, which makes it the third longest track in the PL, behind the Isle of Wight (385 metres) and the cruel, crazy town (368 metres). Like the Berwick track, Workington's is steeply banked. Last I heard, the track record was 64.1 and held by Simon Stead.

Jacques is talking the 21st of this month not tonight Goldmember . Workington v Glasgow will be better entertainment than Berwick v Mildenhall .

You should be able to change the title of a thread that you have started. I've just checked and the track record has changed. It's still held by Simon Stead, but he's lowered it to 63.2 seconds.

hehe join the club Jacques ;D Forgot to say Jacques - most of the Tigers faithful spend a couple of hours in a picturesque little village called Cockermouth before heading for Workington ( it's about 10 miles away )

And according to "Easy Tiger" the end result was a 47 : 43 win for the Barbarians, with Craig Watson scoring a super 14 points for the heathen Tigers. He's looking like an inspired signing. But the Messiah was a little disappointing. Well, I suppose we'll find out more when paulco and jacques return - I hope they both had a great night.
