So in our last warm-up match before we face the mighty Berwick next week , this weeks cannon-fodder at the home of Scottish speedway excellence is none other than Terry Betts' old team Kings Lynn . The Money Centre Stars have had a trophy laden couple of seasons by fluking the league last year and scrambling home in the KO Cup and Premier Trophy a couple of times . Doesn't really measure up to beating the Monarchs in the Spring Trophy , but an impressive haul of trophys nevertheless . Once again the messiah will sweep away all before him , but Topinka and Nomark are usually troublesome and in the Premier Trophy semi-final James Brundle seemed to quite like the Ashfield track . The size of the home victory probably depends on whether Wee Davie has recovered enough from breaking his toe in Farmer Giles' field on Monday evening . If he doesn't make it we'll have to employ that well used Norweigan speedway superstar - Reider Replacement . Should be a good meeting though even if Jim McGregor is the referee , just hope the weather is kind to us .

Could be a tricky day . Rained all night , dry now , pretty overcast over God's country this morning . We have 7 riders from the team at the top of the league plus the Grand Monarch to contend with . Having to use r/r cause David McAllan is injured . But fear not those brave Tigers riders , led by their Messiah , will overcome all those obstacles and emerge triumphant - i hope . Looking forward to a cracker though and welcoming young Liz and young Trees to the Scottish centre of speedway excellence . Not to forget that well-known Glaswegian , Merlin , who i believe is emerging from his exile in the East and travelling through to God's country to watch some proper speedway . ;D

Topinka getting himself into mischief was just a very hard first bend in which Wato went down - no malice in it . One of the more enjoyable afternoons spent in good company with the HT 11 clash between Leverington and Topinka being one of the races of the season at Ashfield . All credit to Kings Lynn and their wonderful supporters for making it a great afternoon . ;D

The updater was [glow=blue,2,300]'your very own' Merlin too.[/glow] Why do I feel so unloved? By the way, Paulco always calls it as he sees it so I had no need to embellish his comments in any way. I would actually have been at the match but for a migraine. Sounds like I missed a good one.

A migraine? So you sat in front of a computer instead ...sheeeesh you are mad. Yes I know - I think it may have been partly to blame for causing it, too. But I was also feeling less than brilliant after a late night on Saturday helping to run the Race Night.
