Didn't see that one coming. Where to now for dear old George?

The cruel, crazy, town perhaps? Do you think he has weird potential? I wonder if Grzegorz Knapp has it in him to be weird?

Well, you know what I say: if you can't win, be weird.

A well-trodden and predictable path with George i'm afraid . He always starts the season with a bang , then the mid-season slump sets in before ( presumably just before contract talks ) he finishes the season like a heat-leader . Everytime George throws in one of his mediocre displays we are vulnerable to the better teams - even at home . And with Somerset taking advantage of that last Sunday - enough was enough . Craig is a bit of a gamble , but it's one worth taking .

Looked like Craig Watson had a very encouraging debut for the heathen Tigers against the Kings Lynn Stars tonight - looks like the great gamble is going to pay off.

Was certainly flying from the gate last night . With a couple of more meetings under his belt at Ashfield i think it will be a very potent top end partnership with him and the messiah . All we need now is two reserves who are (a) not past it , and ( b) not two stone overweight .

If Mroz, or for that matter any of the Poles currently being squeezed out in the homeland, got himself an ACU licence would he still be stuck with an 8.00 average? I've asked the question in another thread, but I don't think anyone's answered. Maybe nobody knows. Or maybe no one's thought of it and it'll be decided when and if the need arises.

Didn't Crapanese come into the Workington side this season on a 5 point average - i'm almost sure he did . So then by that since Poland is now a member of the EU , then shouldn't all European riders have the same rights ?

Isn't it something to do with the level of speedway you're used to riding in? Has Carpanese ridden in any of the other serious leagues (Poland and Sweden)? And if he has, at what level?

That is true Crapanese probably has only raced in Italy before coming here . Although i suppose Mroz hasn't ridden at a high level in Poland either . It's too difficult for Poles and Czechs etc to get a foot in here . And i know there are people who say that's quite right , but that's another debate of which we take a very shortsighted view on .
