And especially good to see Ales Dryml scoring 7+8. AND What is happening to the Old Mongol? Well, as I said before, I've been used to the eccentricities of my old keyboard and now I've a new one and I'm struggling with it. Have no fear, order will be restored soon enough.

Well, I think Wolverhampton will be fairly big guns this season. But I'll stick with my prediction of Coventry to finish sixth.

You'd think it was them that had the track time, as apposed to us.... ::)the reserves were dismal Sub....and Burza, he was so far behind ,it was embarrassing.. you can tickle yourself about Nicholls not being a No 1, but Rory Schlein .........erm nope.....

I've watched Burza for the best part of two years and he looks the business, until the serious business starts. I still don't think dumping the former British champion was a bad move. But signing Stead was. Smolinski instead of Stead and the Weirdity instead of Burza with another decent reserve was the way for Coventry to go. But, as I said, make no mistake, Wolverhampton are a useful side. And Lindgren is a better rider than either Harris or Schlein. Edit: Now, get yourself to the flapperjack thread and get nominating.

There are no excuses from me Sub, I just sit and look ,like you do..it's not a good start and I would expect Stan to be the first to go...

There are no excuses from me Sub, I just sit and look ,like you do..it's not a good start and I would expect Stan to be the first to go... But will you be able to make serious changes? It's all very well kicking Burza into touch, but what will you be replacing him with? You might find that changes are harder to make this season and that you'll only be able to make an effective change by losing one of your 1-5 as well as Burza. I'd imagine that your 1-5, together with the reserves (who have to have an average of 3.00 - it's the minimum) will always be above the points limit. Edit: To illustrate the point, after tonight's meeting, the Coventry averages are: 1..R Schlein..7.00 2..B Janniro..5.60 3..C Harris..7.20 4..O Allen..7.00 5..S Stead..5.00 6..A Messing..1.00 (but 3.00 is the minumum) 7..S Burza..0.00 (but 3.00 is the minumum) And that little lot adds up to 37.80 and realistically some of those averages are going to increase. There isn't going to be much room for change.

Either way, rather like Poole in 2005, Coventry are going to struggle to replace weak reserves without making a change to the 1-5.

Bloody hell its the first meeting of the season and your talking about dropping riders!
Coventry didnt turn up tonight. I doubt they'll perform so badly again at Wolves in the ELA and B fixtures...

It's actually our third.. but you are right, it's early days yet, plenty of time for them to improve... I was very grumpy last night , I should learn not to take it too seriously..
