New GS: effective 1st Sep
Leigh Adams 10.20 Lee Richardson 7.79 Seba Ulamek 7.55 Charlie Gjedde 6.97 Tomasz Chrzanowski 6.35 Mads Korneliussen 5.38 Andrew Moore 3.92
Shame we couldn't get TC below Mads and at 6 for Sep. That may be game set match for us. -----------
Rosco has apparently made it clear in the post-wolves team meeting that we need more from our riders - which we do. He said "We had a meeting after Monday's match and I laid it on the line for them. They have got to start upping their game."
Well - he knows and we know that this is the first realistic top-flight chance we have had since '67. We should have had the Prem in 2000 but wuz robbed by Bjarne! lol
-----------------------------
I think its pretty clear that we are now looking at 3rd unless something happens to someone - eg - Cov or Poole wobble big style or lose a rider through injury or one of our boys actually does the business away from home.
All of this excludes Leigh. Beyond all criticism AFAIAC.
-------------------------------
We need Cov in a playoff but they will probably finish top and Boro are unlikely to catch us so WImborne for the Play off.

I'd have said Ulamek's form has to be the biggest question mark over Swindon. He really seems to be going through an indifferent patch of form.

His form is awlays the same - if he gates and there are no rough'n'tumble riders near him, then he wins. Otherwise he is last, usually hindering pluckier team mates for the consolation prize. On the wrong end of many a 5-1.
However, he is by all accounts a top chap, great post-win theatrics and a superbly talented motorcyclist. Highly professional, superbly turned out with excellent support and pit crew. Just seems selfish from the terraces and not comiited to the team (yeah - I know, who is committed to their team in the EL)

Shovvy won't anticipate a stroll in the park The forum identity is one thing but real life another - he knows his speedway and I reckon that it will either be a Robins-go-ape Swindon win or a humbling average 12 loss.

I have just read that Swindon are without illness hit TC tomorrow, and R/R will operate. Mads will also be out, It seems he was involved in a track crash somewhere and Gathercole will step in

Terrible news. As a neutral I'd have liked to see both teams at full strength for the play-offs. Sadly that was unlikely to happen anyway, but this has swung it in Coventry's favour.

I doubt we would even get to the final mate . the boro reserves will run riot at the abbey v moore and correy . Even adams we could have replaced we could get a guest but mads not ever sure we can get a replaement in under the rules .

I would expect a new signing to be in place by next Monday.
