Where has everyone gone in the BSF? Have they departed to some other place, or just given up forums altogether? Unfortunately the BSF has lost many of its better posters. These days, it seems to be mostly the Poole and Coventry left, with numerous mind-numbing threads about the bloody play-off final.
The BSF has many top class Posters. Sadly, it also has a proliferation of 'wind up posters' and these unfortunately appear to be allowed to flourish.

In an effort to steer away from the ever increasing challenge of social media vizaviz FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM there is now evidence that discussion forums similar to THE WEIRD WORLD OF SPEEDWAY are regaining popularity again.
This forum after making much progress in its early formative years about 10 years ago has without any doubt struggled. To be fair it is probably more renowned now for its lack of member Posts than anything else.
Earlier in the year, there was a determined effort to stimulate the forum but, again TBH, it was just the Moderator posting for his own interest - there was NOT ONE response from a member. As a result, that effort to create interest was terminated.
I am going to establish a thread in regard to how interest can be stimulated for THE WEIRD WORLD OF SPEEDWAY. What was wrong in the past and why the forum 'lost its way'. A look at the many Posts still recorded on the forum indicate there was interest in this forum.
Please give you views on what went wrong in the past and how things can be stimulated for the future.

Sadly, at the moment the struggle to rekindle interest in TWWoS continues. How were so any members - as it appears - deleted from membership? Is there anyway - although I doubt it - that they can be restored?

Friends of Speedway Road Show Friends of Speedway took their road show to the Kempton Park Off-road Show on Saturday 1st December. The star of our display was the actual bike that Ivan Mauger won the 1972 World Championship on plus the major awards that he won during that year.
Other machines there were a Norton rotary engine speedway bike, (the only know one in the world), three JAPs, one in a Staride frame and two in Rotrax frames. Along with various race jackets from different years and picture displays.
There was much talking and reminiscing throughout the day with riders stopping by to say hello.
We are indebted to those who displayed their machines and specially to TAG Allison who organised it on our behalf. The icing on the cake was a third place for the best stand.
