Danish international Bjarne Pedersen has pulled out of the Grand Prix qualification rounds.
The Poole rider was a full-time member of the World Championship field from 2003 to 2008, but lost his spot after finishing 11th in the final standings two years ago.
Despite being happy to take a break from the competition for a couple of seasons, Pedersen hinted he was keen to regain his spot for 2011.
But he has now opted against taking his qualification place, which he earned by finishing seventh in the Danish Championship Final first round at Esbjerg on May 28.
There is no doubt mixing it with the world’s finest over 11 rounds is a huge undertaking. And the Tarnow, Indianerna and Holstebro star says returning to the World Championship would have meant him cutting back on his club commitments.
He said: “It has not been easy, but I have thought the matter through and came to the conclusion that there would be more disadvantages than advantages in racing in the SGP qualification.
“It was obviously great racing in the series until I stopped in 2008. I have, however, decided that if I am to race in the series again, I shall be at my absolute top form and that takes a lot of resources.
“This will mean that I would have to leave one or two of my clubs and right now the clubs are my highest priority.”

I've just been looking at that Schumi and it looks like the Terenzano quali doesn't start till 2100 local time, so I'm hoping that Sportowefakty will add the live updates for that one later.
