I'm off work today, and have just been for a bike ride to the shops, where amongst other things i've backed England to beat Pakistan and had an each way interest in Transvaal Sky and Malpas Missile. The sky is blue, the sun is shining and the cold wind has disappeared, it's as if the gods are putting on a show to celebrate the end of the hapless Labour party and their even more hapless leaders reign.....The good times are finally here folks, England will win the 20 20 World cup, Millwall will win the play-offs, our footballers will emulate the heroes of '66, and Bobby Lyon will either get sacked or wise up to the fact that Scott Nicholls is Britains number 1, and have him first on the team sheet, closely followed by Lee Richardson. Team England won't of course win the Speedway World cup, but our "best team" may, just may, make the final, and we'll all be able to watch them whilst barbecuing amidst the summer long heatwave.
IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY.........................................

Tried to swallow a tablet just now - one of those plastic coated capsules that dissolves in the stomach. Only thing is I didn't swallow it properly. When I bent over to wrap up the hoover cable it must have popped in my throat, and I experienced what can only be described as a shot of sherbet straight to the nose and brain. Reading your post it looks like the effects have bypassed me and somehow infected you.

I agree they both have shocking draws and the draw is all important at Chester, but when Tom Dascombe hits form i tend to take an interest. Surely you couldn't have questioned anything else in my post !

NCR, enjoy your beautiful day. But the wheels will come off at around midnight tonight, when it becomes painfully clear to you that the next government won't be the stinky Tories.

Ah but in truth we all know Team GB IS Team England, it's only to appease the politically correct that we mock the history of the sport and include the Welsh, Scots and Northern Irish. Where's the Snipster when you need him ?

Where's the Snipster when you need him ? No, Team GB is Team GB representing British Speedway - the fact that it is English riders that are in the team at present is irrelevant. (Well English and Oz riders )

IT'S A BEAUTIFUL DAY......................................... Well England beat Pakistan..........Malpas Missile was placed.....England won the 20/20 World cup...........Millwall won the play-offs......Last weekend i was barbecuing in 30 degrees, and not even the worst Team England manager in living memory(which Bobby Lyon is) could fail to select Scott Nicholls for the squad, lets face it not even Subedei, or Ladyluck or whatever the weirdo calls himself these days, could leave Britains undisputed number one out of the squad... this leaves just one hurdle between me and the title of Nostradamus.....and......ENGLAND WILL WIN THE FOOTBALL WORLD CUP.............
