Well, it seems that at least one of the moderators at the BSF has given his verdict on the weird world: it's an embarrassment and a haven for trouble makers.
I always suspected that when an innocent post from Kevin Meynell on one of the Horton threads was turned into a link to here, that BSF was trying to off-load trouble onto us. But, as it turned out, we managed to engage in a sensible debate, although this may be due to a lack of Peterborough posters here.
We continue to allow sensible debate on Horton, but the fellow seems to have seen sense and is keeping a low profile, which gives people little to talk about - out of sight is largely out of mind.
Still, if the BSF is pleased to have off-loaded trouble makers such as norbold, Kevin Meynell and paulco onto us, we're happy chappies.

It was in a PM to one of our members. Here's an excerpt:
The first and only time was on Monday, to check something between Jacques and SCB.
I was embarrassed and disappointed, but not in the least bit surprised. I won't be returning, so feel free to add me to the list of enemies or whatever.
And another:
Glad the Weird World exists though. It keeps a lot of the troublemakers off here...

Okay, let’s draw a line under this now. I’m not going to waste good internet space on someone who has nothing better to do with their time than try to cause trouble (and I don't mean any of the mods). For the record I was amused by the fact the BSF have chosen to filter out one of our words, and flattered by the fact they read Weird, as I told Subedei last night.

Now whilst I think it's perfectly reasonable for them to gloat about Oxford's misfortunes, the general level of one-eyedness about the state of the BEL because they happen to be having a successful season (for once) is quite astounding. |

Now whilst I think it's perfectly reasonable for them to gloat about Oxford's misfortunes, the general level of one-eyedness about the state of the BEL because they happen to be having a successful season (for once) is quite astounding. To be fair, and bear in mind I'm a Reading fan too so no bias at all, but there is only 1 or 2 Swindon fans who have a bit of tunnel EL vision at the moment, and you'll probably find that all but 1 of them are taking the piss too. It's the bloody Coventry fans (sorry Jaques ;D) who can't see there's anything wrong with the EL. |

Maybe the newer ones are gloating, but certainly the ones whose memories go back to the 80s see the bigger picture. I think wibblemuis your letting your feelings towards swindon get in the way, if you look at posts on the bsf most swindon fans haven't commented on the situation bar the usual wind up brigade. |
