Well will it be Hans or Scott that lines up as Ipswich No 1 in 2010 or neither , I know whom I would prefer, although I don't like either rider they would get my support as an Ipswich rider of course What's not to like about H A, Badgester ? he would be the best rider you've had at Foxhall since.........H A. Personal Hatch, as I say don't have to like the guy to support him in my team

Taken from SpeedwayGP: SCOTT'S DECISION TIME Five-time British champion Scott Nicholls admits he is still mulling over his Elite League options for 2010, with Ipswich and Coventry the favourites to secure his signature. The 31-year-old endured a nightmare campaign last term, finishing 15th in the World Championship and losing his place in the competition for next year. But Nicholls’ season ended on a positive note as he steered his home town club Ipswich away from the Elite League’s relegation place. He recorded an 8.29 average at Foxhall and Witches have made no secret of the fact they are keen to bring him back for 2010. However, his parent club Coventry may have something to say about this and still have the option of teaming him with reigning British champion Chris Harris to form a powerful heat leader pairing. Nicholls knows racing for his local club would greatly reduce his travelling time and admits Ipswich is an attractive option. But he refuses to rule out a return to Brandon. He said: “Coventry was a place I enjoyed and I really did enjoy my time back at Ipswich. I’d be happy to go back to Ipswich, but then again Coventry might want me – who knows? “I don’t know if I’d necessarily figure in their plans and there may be another team who would want to take me on as well. “There’s no track in Britain I wouldn’t be able to make my home track and enjoy, so I’m happy that if I had to go anywhere, I could. “I’m quite open-minded about where I go but things are different and my life has changed. I’m a Dad and you do look at things differently and have different priorities in life.” While Nicholls has secured a deal with Vargarna in the Swedish Elitserien, he is yet to sign a contract in the Polish Ekstraliga. The Team Great Britain international raced for Wroclaw this term, but looks set to move following a reported dispute over unpaid wages. Nicholls admits he struggled in Poland this year, but is hopeful of getting a chance to put this behind him – whether or not he gets it at the start of the season. He said: “I’ve spoken to a couple of clubs but I haven’t signed anything yet. I didn’t have a good season in Poland and that does make it a little bit difficult for me. But I’d love to be back there. “We’ll just wait and see but if I don’t sign for a club straight away, you know how speedway goes. When the season starts and a few riders aren’t performing or get injuries, clubs get on the phone.” Personally I think that is Scott keeping his options open

Taken from Lovespeedway:
Nicholls and King back with Witches
Last updated: 29/11/2009 13:38:00
SCOTT Nicholls and Danny King will lead the Ipswich Witches attack in 2010.
Both riders have signed for the Suffolk club for next year, as promoter John Louis announces his first two signings of the season.
More reaction to the signings, plus admission price and season ticket news in tomorrow's EADT and Evening Star
and the slightly longer piece from Skysports:
Ipswich Witches have confirmed the signings of British stars Scott Nicholls and Danny King as their first for 2010.
Nicholls is back with his hometown club, after spending the latter part of last season on loan from Coventry Bees.
Nicholls, who has missed out on next season's Grand Prix series, decided to give British racing a miss last term - but he soon went back on that decision and returned to action with Coventry, before linking up with Ipswich again.
Nicholls is joined by British international and last season's Ipswich captain King.
"This is the best possible start for our team-sheet for next season. Danny was our Rider of the Year in 2009 and in Scott Nicholls we have one of the most exciting performers in world speedway," said Witches manager Chris Louis.
Both riders are delighted to be returning to Foxhall next term.
"After a terrible season last year I felt really at home back at Foxhall and enjoyed racing there again. So much so in fact, Ipswich was top of the list for me as far as 2010 was concerned," said Nicholls.
"After spending so much time on the road the last couple of years I'm really looking forward to concentrating on and enjoying riding for the Witches. I can't wait to get going."
King added: "I'm absolutely delighted to be coming back to Ipswich.
"Last season was so enjoyable - the atmosphere in the pits was terrific and it was a real privilege to be team captain.
"I never had a thought in my mind about going to any other club in 2010."

And now I have my fingers firmly crossed for a return of Piotr That'll depend on Hans, I guess. What's Scott's average - must be about 5 points, yes? Seriously can you still fit Hans in? If not I'd say Piotr should be back with you - Peterborough don't look likely to be able to use him with Bjerre, Bridger and Iversen, and with Lakeside signing KK I'd think it unlikely he'll fit in there.

With GB reduction think Scott is 8.08, can't see us pushing the boat out and having Hans too TBH, mind we are due a decent season so who knows, if the Louis' bit the bullet and signed them both think the increase in fans would probably pay for the track alterations over the season , all hangs on whether they announce Misko back or not Would be nice to have Scott Hans Danny Rory Piotr Schrammy Dawid ;D ;D And I think that would fit!!!.... not really

Sorry Badge but no Super Witches, least the track will be modified tho. Ouch. Not liking the look of that team. On paper you should have strength in depth, but not sure any of them are going to increase their average, to be honest.

I'm afraid that's a very weak team. Odds on for the 2010 wooden spoon. Sorry Badger.

I disagree, i feel very confident that Stachyra will, i think the lad is quite decent. Ippo certainly will be battling out at the basement with the Hawks though , whilst Poole and Peterborough are battling for the title. The British Elite league is one big yawnfest.

That's OK genghis, I don't mind in the slightest, I'm OK with the team actually, not sure what Claus will be like TBH as I haven't really taken much notice of him, but we have had a pretty good ex-panther recently so will hold off judgement on him until the season commences, really excited about Linus Sundstrum's signing, and if Olly can keep injury free he will be a decent signing.
