Once again the Sky cameras foresake the dubious delights of the "steak and chips" Elite League in favour of the "egg and chips" Premier League. Only this time it's hardly egg and chips, as the Parmo-devouring sludge troopers from Redcar are taking on the Haggis-munchers from Auld Reekie. Yes, it's the OAP Bears taking on the 2008 Premier League champions Edinburgh at the South Tees Motorsports Park (and isn't that a bloody mouthful?). Recently the heathen Monarchs have taken on a distinctly Teutonic hue by signing the German duo Max (should really be Min, given his dearth of points as a Monarch) Dilger and Kevin Wolbert. Tarten lederhosen? I don't think it'll catch on, do you? But, then again, DavyH and his mob have never really been known for their fashion sense, have they? I mean, they don't even appreciate the cutting-edge style of orange trousers and driving shoes. And the Bears have a German in their ranks as well, albeit a much older one by the name of Robbie Kessler, so, altogether now: "Deutschland, Deutschland uber alles...".

Easy win for the home side . The Monarchs are pants , would rather see Wolves v Swindon instead of this nonsense . ;D

Easy win for the home side . The Monarchs are pants , would rather see Wolves v Swindon instead of this nonsense . ;D I kinda agree. I would like to see more PL on Sky, but with Wolves & Swindon on level points, it does seem like an opportunity missed tomorrow. Sky would have done better to televise Scunny vs King's Lynn next Monday and catch the likely PL champions - the two teams being featured tomorrow are both bound for mid-table obscurity.

Seems it's been pissing down on Teeside and this meeting is touch and go . Be as well putting it off , cause the Redcar OAP's don't ride in the wet , and it could be an easy away win - which would be too painful to watch . Norwich v Sunderland for me i think .

Granted, but that was the only thing worth watching so far. And the tapes aren't going up evenly - can't believe they haven't done something about it.

I don't think the EL bashers are going to have a leg to stand on after this. And just think its 33-33 at Wolves.

Another shocking decision - that's just disgraceful from the golem Flint. What the fuck did Swales do wrong? The kraut got himself into a poor position on the track and was vulnerable. Poor riding from Dilger.

To be fair, there have been a couple of good races, and the rain wasn't anyone's fault. But two aborted starts then the tapes not being right looks a little unprofessional.

And just think its 33-33 at Wolves. After all the hype on Sky about the importance of this meeting for the league, you'd have thought there'd be no question of it being televised.
