Much talk in the Green Mountain town regarding the immediate future of Falubaz's misfiring foreign riders Fredrik Lindgren and Niels-Kristian Iversen, but team coach Piotr Zyto admits that, at the minute, the club don't have suitable replacements in the squad. All of which means that Lindgren and Iversen are likely to be lining up against Gorzow in what is sure to be a fiesty local derby on Sunday: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/05/19/iversen-i-lindgren-pojada-z-gorzowem/

And Zielona Gora are not the only club with concerns over the performance of key riders. Unia Leszno's chairman Jozef Dworakowski is not at all happy at the form of his team, especially after the defeat at struggling Gdansk on Sunday. Dworakowski and the executive board at Leszno refused to accept the resignations of the club's sporting director and coach after the defeat to Gdansk, preferring to focus on the poor form of riders such as Leigh Adams, Jaroslaw Hampel, Damian Balinski and Krzysztof Kasprzak. Dworakowski says the riders seem to have "lost purpose" and he is demanding that they regain it against Wroclaw this weekend: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/05/19/jozef-dworakowski-wine-za-blamaz-w-gdansku-ponosza-tylko-zaw/A fired up Leszno team; that's not good news for the global superstar.

And the early team news from the Leszno versus Wroclaw fixture is that Leszno are going to split the usual Kasprzak-Balinski pairing, with Kasprzak moving to the No 5 berth and Balinski partnering Jaroslaw Hampel. Meanwhile, over in the other side of the pits, Wroclaw will be without Leon Madsen, who will be riding in the World under-21s in Norway - Madsen will be replaced by Dennis Andersson: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/05/20/awizowane-sklady-na-spotkanie-unia-leszno-atlas-wroclaw/

Early team news from the Torun versus Czestochowa meeting is that Tomasz Gapinski isn't in the line-up for the visitors, although that could change. Gapinski is scheduled to have a practise session on Friday and both coach and rider will then decide whether he is up to the challenge of facing the champions in their new home. Meanwhile, the champions have dropped Martin Smolinski - who has deputised for the injured Kosciecha in the last couple of meetings - in favour of moving Matej Kus into the main body of the team, which, I guess, means Darcy Ward is available to replace Kus at reserve: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/05/20/sklady-na-mecz-w-toruniu/

Good to know that Lindback hasn't forgotten how to touch the tapes - always been a weakness of the erratic Swedish princeling.

Good to know that Lindback hasn't forgotten how to touch the tapes - always been a weakness of the erratic Swedish princeling. Can't be denied, Lindbäck always looks jittery to say the least ahead of a start. Anyway, this Vaculik character is really going strong at the moment

Vaculik is certainly going well at the minute and has to be a serious threat in the World Under-21 championship. Another great win for the guy over Sajfutdinov in Ht 4.

Fantastic stuff from the erractic princeling to get past Skornicki on the last lap of Ht 6 - he wasn't far away from Vaculik on the run to the line either. But the game already looks up for Bydgoszcz.
