Meanwhile, Lukas Dryml is just five rides away from the 2010 GP series. Heaven forbid that we have to endure the crapfest that was DD in the 2008 series all over again!!!

Kev, he's now back to the "old Lukas" of the 2000-2003 period before he had the stuffing knocked out of him with a run of dreadful injuries. If he qualifies for the 2010 GP series, he'll hold his own, this was the man who was joint leader at one point in early 2003.

Where was Fisher? ;D Bit shocked that Zagar didn't qualify, he would have been a good bet to grab one of the GP slots available at Coventry. The GP challenge field looks a bit week and lacking any real sparkle to be honest, but I'd like to see Lindback & Davidsson qualify for next year.

But I'd like to see Lindback & Davidsson qualify for next year. Someone will have to drop out for Lindback to stand a chance - he's only a reserve at Coventry.

Oh bugger, well fingers crossed then Sube, he's a better rider than at least 5 of those who qualified above him.
I mean, Zetterstrom, FFS it must cost money to go through these qualifiers and costs a shit load to compete in the GP's, I honestly don't see the point of riders like him who've had their day competing in these events.

Totally agree with you Wackster, i was hoping Zagar and Lindback would make it through, the GP's need genuine world class riders, and both of them are, what we don't need is the likes of Nicholls, Harris, Walasek and Ulamek wasting everyone's time.

If Zagar and Lindback were truly world class, they'd have qualified. The truth of the matter is that, whatever you happen to think about him, Grzegorz Walasek is a better rider than either Lindback or Zagar. True enough, Zagar is wowing everyone with his Swindon form, but Elite League form doesn't amount to much when it comes to the serious business.

BJARNE Pedersen has called time on his Grand Prix career so he can concentrate on his league racing.
Pirates’ captain admitted before lining up in the GP qualifier semi-final in Latvia on Saturday that he might not want to contest the series next year even if he won through.
Now the decision has been made for him after the Dane suffered mechanical problems as he only got six points at Daugavpils and failed to progress to the final at Coventry on September 18.
But his Poole Castle Cover team-mate Chris Holder is only five rides away from a regular GP place.
He finished fifth in Latvia with 10 points, which included two race wins, and is safely through to Brandon where he must secure a top-three place to qualify for the 2010 series.
Pedersen, a GP regular from 2003 to 2008 after making his wild card debut in 2002, said: “The decision is out of my hands now.
“It’s easy for me. I won’t be in the GP next year.
“For now, I just want to do what I really like doing, my league matches and have a few more days in with the family.”
Asked if he would try and qualify for the 2011 GP series through next year’s qualifiers, Pedersen added: “I really don’t think so.
“It’s a long way ahead, but at the moment I just want to do the best I can for my clubs.” www.bournemouthecho.co.uk
