Watt and Hampel tied for 1st, Lindbäck and Lindgren tied for 3rd and more interestingly; Smolinski and Balinski tied for 6th. Race-off coming up or what are the rules?

Or is it just of academical interest for Hampel, Watt, Lindbäck and Lindgren?

I imagine it is so they can have a podium for the top three. But you could be right in saying it could have an effect on where you end up in the next round. But if those are "known", it could lead to some "fiddling".

But if those are "known", it could lead to some "fiddling". I suppose it would be a bad idea if that was decided beforehand and known to the riders, because as you say there could be some "fiddling". That said, Antonio would probably love to end up at Motala on his new home track.

Well at least he went out in style - Balinski fell.

Well at least he went out in style - Balinski fell. And you'd like to think it was a suitably spectacular, but safe tumble that took Desperate Damian out of the picture.

Bad luck Damian, not a nice way to go. Bad luck indeed. Balinski has been forced to withdraw from tomorrow's Ekstraliga programme with an ankle injury.
