Funnily enough i was re-arrangin the tv channels last weekend and putting the Bible channel at the back with the Turkish channel when i saw the bible channel was doing a special on Mahalia ;D Didn't realise she was signing record deals for 50,000 dollars per year back in the 50s!Have a few cd's and she is fantastic.Also didn't realise she was involved in Aretha Franklins early career.Taking her under her wing

Brought back memories of 10cc , i soon progressed onto the wonderful I'm Mandy fly me . ;D I'm with you on that one Paul, they were the only group to come out of the glam rock era that didn't use glam - their talent saw them through and when they split after only four albums it was a musical tragedy. It's a shame that The Beatles never reformed, but it's a crime that 10CC went their own seperate ways!!

If you're talking glam rock you have to mention Sweet. But funnily enough, guess what I'm listening to now? Just downloaded 10CC's Greatest Hits, although, to be honest, I'm not finding them that great. But I do recognise more than I thought I would.
