And Stoke opened their season with a win over the Brummies: www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2009/03/21/sparing-stoke-potters-birmingham-brummies-5441/Phil Morris looks to have suffered no ill-effects from his earlier appearance of ITV as he stop-scored for the Potters. And there'll be a lot more to come from Lee Complin. Looks like a super showing from Birmingham reserve Marek Mroz, the so-called "Iron Man". But Lindgren still looks a concern.

And the Potters continue their winning ways at home with an impressive win over the mighty King's Lynn Stars: STOKE..481..L Complin..1',2',2,0 = 5+22..G Phillips..2,3,2,0 = 73..T P Madsen..0,0,3 = 34..J Bunyan..3,3,0,2,1 = 95..P Morris..3,1,3,3,3 = 136..J Kristiansen..1',3,1,2',1' = 8+37..K Jakobsen..2,1,0,0 = 3KING'S LYNN..421..T Topinka..3,2,1,1',2 = 9+12..K Smith..R/R 3..C Henry..1',2,3,1',0 = 7+24..C Schramm..2,0,1,0 = 35..E Sanchez..0,1,1,2',2 = 6+16..J Graversen..0,0,0,3 = 37..D Ward..3,2,1',3,0,2,3 = 14+1Taken from: www.speedwayupdates.proboards103.comOnce again Phil Morris the star for the Potters and once Complin gets going the Potters look to have a useful line-up. Darcy Ward again a bright spot for the Stars, but lots of riders under-performing, especially Chris Schramm and - it has to be said - Tomas Topinka, who only recorded a single win.

The Potters get back to winning ways, but the Brummies take a point as Jason Lyons returns to form: STOKE..481..L Complin..2,3,3,0 = 82..T P Madsen..1',2',3,2',0 = 8+33..G Phillips..0,0,1,1 = 24..J Bunyan..2,2,3,3,2 = 125..P Morris..0,1,1 = 26..J Kristiansen..2',3,0,1,1 = 7+17..C Jakobsen..3,1,2',3 = 9+1BIRMINGHAM..451..J Lyons..3,3,6,2',1 = 15+12..R Sweetman..0,1,1,2' = 4+13..R Ksiezak..1,2,1,2 = 64..L Lindgren..3,0,0,2 = 55..T Piszcz..3,0,2,3,3 = 116..B Taylor..0,1,0,0 = 17..M Mroz..1,2',0,0 = 3+1Taken from: www.speedwayupdates.proboards103.com

I'm sure it will come as no surprise to discover that the Barbarians will be without the Lesser Wright as well as Adrian Rymel when they visit Staffordshire later today: www.workingtonspeedway.com/node/118Having Wright unavailable is the only means available for the Barbarians to have a guest for Rymel - shameful stuff, but one has come to expect nothing less from Keith Denham and Ian Thomas.

Sub, the lesser Wright was injured in the British Under-21 Final at Lakeside. No, he wasn't - he withdrew after completing one ride after a fall at Sheffield the night before.

so perhaps denham and thomas couldnt persuade charles to miss the potters match after all It appears not, although they probably wish they'd tried a bit harder, as the Lesser Wright didn't last very long and the Babas got beaten: STOKE..481..L Complin..3,3,1',0 = 7+12..T P Madsen..2',1,1,2,2,3 = 11+13..G Phillips..R/R 4..J Bunyan..3,2,3,3,3,1 = 155..P Morris..0,W = 06..J Kristiansen..1',1',2,1,1,1,2' = 9+37..L Smart..2,1,1',0,0,2' = 6+2WORKINGTON..421..K Doolan..0,3,3,3,3,2 = 142..J Branney..1,0,3,2' = 6+13..A Rymel..R/R 4..C Wright..0,0,W = 05..A Compton..3,2,2,3,2',0 = 12+16..L Priest..0,0,0,1,1 = 27..R Lawson..3,2,2',1,0,0,0 = 8+1Taken from: www.speedwayupdates.proboards103.com

I wonder if this result will be amended in view of this statement.

I wonder if this result will be amended in view of this statement. This is an interesting one. Presumably Stoke were made aware of this prior to racing the meeting against Workington and would not have operated a facility. But why has news of this just surfaced a couple of days after the suspension has been served?
