All the Lewis Hamilton fans must be getting worried now . Looks like McLaren are in the deepest doo-doo . No action can be taken against Lewis, or Fernando Alonso, who are innocent. The only action can be taken against McLaren against a constructor... maybe up to exclusion from the constructors' championship. I still can't believe the latest plot by the Red Bastards might actually work... how many millions on the side is Stepney being paid by Ferrari All the best Rob

They are the innocent parties in all this . But if the FIA decide to make an example of McLaren , they could still suffer through a points deduction . And Rob come on . Even you cant be surprised by something like this . There is no limit to the depths Ferarri will stoop .

Paulco, I'm not surprised by the depths which Ferrari will stoop to, but more surprised that FIA can't see what Ferrari are trying to do... it's so transparent. All the best Rob

The possibility of McLaren - and its drivers - being deducted points due to the Stepneygate crisis has been raised considerably after Mike Coughlan, the team's designer, reportedly confirmed that he showed stolen Ferrari documents to 'several' of his Woking colleagues. It is claimed that, in a sworn affidavit, Coughlan said: "It's true. I had all the designs. It was my responsibility. I showed those designs to McLaren and not just to Jonathan Neale [McLaren's team manager] but to others as well. Everyone reacted the same way and told me to get rid of them." The development is just the latest twist in a crisis that threatens to wreck the 2007 season and the title hopes of both Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso. From www.planetf1.com

From www:planetf1.com What's the betting that Ferrari posted the "stolen documents" to Woking ;D ;D Getting a bit concerned that the Red Bastards latest ploy might actually work and deprive us of a British World Champion. If that happens, I'd had it with F1. I've just about put up with Ferrari and Schumacher's cheating over the last few years, but if they pull this one off, that's it. Fucking cheating Eye-tie bastards. Mosley and Bernie can stuff F1 up their arses, if they don't step in and stop this farce, and clear the name of the honourable McLaren team. All the best Rob

The most recent bits of news from: www.planetf1.comMcLaren have hit out at "erroneous speculation" about the ongoing Formula One 'spy' scandal, insisting that nobody except Mike Coughlan had ever been in possession of official Ferrari documents. and Nigel Stepney, the accused former Ferrari mechanic at the heart of the spy scandal that is engulfing the 2007 season, has requested a meeting with Jean Todt in a bid to clear his name.
According to The Guardian, Stepney is hoping to meet the Scuderia's executive director next week.
'Stepney's lawyer, Sonia Bartolini, said last night her client was keen "to give the names of those he suspects were involved in an alleged plot against him".
"Ferrari has signalled its readiness for an encounter," said Bartolini.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Stepney said: "I'm ready to speak to [Ferrari principal] Jean Todt and to president [Luca di] Montezemolo," Stepney was reported as saying by his lawyers on .
"I want to clear my position with Ferrari; I want to let everyone understand it's nothing to do with me.
"And I want to reveal some names of people inside Ferrari who had more interest than myself in doing what I'm unfairly accused of. No doubt the last paragraph will have a few Ferrari employees worried.

So, the FIA have refused to impose any penalties on McLaren due to insufficient evidence in the Stepneygate scandal. Time to go back and concentrate on the racing! Hurrah! And judging by last weekend, Ferrari's attempts to throw mud at McLaren to distract them, has not worked. Go McLaren!!!! ;D ;D All the best Rob P.S. DK, you any relation to Donsking?

The deal for India has been done for 2009, and Singapore is going to be exciting, providing it's approved, though Mark Webber isn't too keen. It's to be a street circuit and there is talk of it being at night under lights. It's one I'd like to see happen, certainly, providing the safety concerns can be addressed.
Note that France is also on the calendar despite Bernie saying it would be the last one this year.

Was it the last French GP, or was it just the last one at Magny Cours? That was slightly ambiguous, you're right. He said that this year's event was the final French GP at Magny-Cours.

There's been a rumour going around for a while of new French circuit, possibly somewhere near Paris, although I'm not entirely sure why they dropped Paul Ricard so maybe that's making a comeback.
