It did to me, thank you. And now Zorro has called in a lawyer to try and find out who made this guarantee, and try to claim the money? Yeah, and under some circumstances the board members of a non profit organisation, like Smederna, can be held personally responsible for the organisations affairs. So perhaps former chairman Göran Karlsson is losing some sleep these days?

Nässjö could be ready to return early next year after reconstruction and modernisation of the track, which has kept them out of racing since the end of 2007. They are expected to ride in the Allsvenskan, and will also have youth development activities. www.hogland.nu

The plan is to stay in Allsvenskan for four years, but they're hoping to invest in an air fence with a view to future promotion.

SVEMO have decided that it will be 10 team in Elitserien next year. But they still haven't decided how many teams it will be in the closed Elitserien that will start in 2011.

But they still haven't decided how many teams it will be in the closed Elitserien that will start in 2011. I don't think it's their choice to make, is it? Isn't the whole point to only have teams who can afford to run Elitserien, based on whether they have debts, the necessary infrastructure, etc? SVEMO can ask for as many or as few teams as it likes, but if they can't afford it, they won't be in. As for next year, it's pretty much a given that Valsarna will be moving up. But they will still have to wait and see if SVEMO can convince Ornarna or Solkatterna to go with them, and whether they can afford to do so remains to be seen. Solkatterna have been relying on their farming agreement to get Lindback and Nermark in their team whenever possible this year, which has helped them to get to the league position they are in. But if they moved up, would they be able to field a competitive team?

Hammarbys team manager and sporting director Fredrik Edberg (FE) have been sentenced to 18 months in prison, for fiddling with the taxes, by Stockholm City Distric Court. The sentence concerns a company that FE owned in 2003. folket.se/sportfolket/speedway/1.457892

That's what they call a "goal keeper" isn't it? And then the business was made over to a person who doesn't even exist according to the tax department. Talk about dirty business. Will this sentence be served or suspended? But Ghostie, it says he was sentenced in Eskilstuna by the district court - not Stockholm?

fomrer Smederna rider, young Slovak talent Martin Vaculik will replace Karol Zabik in Elit Vetlanda for the rest of the season. Normally new riders are not allowed to be brought in outside the transfer windows but exceptions is allowed when the new rider replaces a long term injured rider. The change is also permanent for the rest of the season and the replaced rider is not allowed to be used again. www.elitvetlanda.nu/index.php?page=highlight&stage=1&id=226

Per Hallerby has said Edberg told him about the trial, but thought it was just a formality he would be cleared. He sees no reason why Edberg can't continue in his role with the team, if he wants to, but there will be a board meeting to discuss the issue further. folket.se/sportfolket/speedway/1.458925

Esklistuna could soon have a team in the Allsvenskan - if Team Bikab don't win promotion, they can submit an application to move up a league, although there are financial rules and checks they will have to comply with. Good news for them is that Freddie Eklund is ready to take over as boss, after turning down the presidency for Smederna earlier in the year. There will be a board meeting on September 19th to discuss the issues further. folket.se

there is some doubts about him. I personally would like to see him and "his" board suggestion but many people dont. That is also why he wasnt elected earlier this year.
There have been some disagreements before in the club the worst of them more or less led to that a few popele started up Hammarby Speedway (i think?).
