It looks like the Glasgow promotion are set to announce further plans for the 2009 season during Sunday's meeting with the Bandits: www.british-speedway.co.uk/news.php?extend.1851The Tigers have already signed promising young Dane Peter Juul Larsen for 2009, so what is this weekend's news likely to be? Another year in Tigerland for the "Messiah", or perhaps the signing of the "trainee Messiah" Josh Grajczonek? I guess either would please the Ashfield faithful.

Trainee Messiah is already signed for next year . With reports that Kenneth Hansen has been rumoured to have spoken with another PL club , and with our taste in rider leaning towards Denmark recently ( Andersen and Juul ) - i just wonder .

Yes they signed on the centre-green yesterday . Assuming Peter Juul comes in on a 7.00 average , Josh's 2009 starting average is 5.25 and Mitchell will start next year on 3.00 . That's 15.25 used of whatever points limit is inflicted on us during the winter .

So, it was the "trainee Messiah" after all.

Carl Stonehewer has been relaeased by Workington.
Could he fit in alongside Parker and Grieves, as the heat leader trio at Ashfield?

Please people don't start all that Stoney nonsense on here . Stoney is way past his sell-by date and should retire . Our summers seem to be increasingly wetter , which would make Stoney even more of a liability .

And it is now confirmed that the contract is all signed and sealed to bring James Grieves home to set about those pesky Monarchs around a dozen times next season . ;D

And The Sun is reporting that the "Messiah" has agreed to a sixth term with the heathen Tigers. That ought to please our very own paulco. But it looks like being the Messiah's last hurrah on the British scene, since he's been making noises about retiring. He claimed that his decision to step down as chairman of the SRA was so that he could enjoy his final season without distractions.

Just about sobered up after last night's bash at Partick Thistle's ground . So we know where we are now as far as 2009 goes , and it is - 1 Shane Parker 2 Ross Brady 3 James Grieves 4 Josh Grajczonek 5 Peter Juul 6 Mitchell Davey 7 Anders Andersen Relatively pleased with it , with one or two reservations . But we cant be any worse than last year that's for sure . Good night last night and you should have seen Ermolenko's face when i asked him this question in front of everybody ............... " Sam , you had a wonderful career . World Champion , numerous titles in various countries , league titles etc , etc ................so did you not feel a bit upstaged when it was your brother who became a Glasgow Tiger ? "
