No rain forecast today and only a bit of slight drizzle yesterday should mean the tracks pretty much in top condition.
Now, knowing just how much Doyle & Werner love a wet track I hope the Sealey's are at Smallmead right now armed with hose pipes. ;D

We'll be doing our best, believe me ML there's no love lost between the Racers & the Rebels but unless Lemo shows some of this Monarchs form and the others ride to their average we might struggle a bit.
Our last ever league meeting at Smallmead after 34 years, wouldn't it be nice to mark the occasion by the Racers hitting 60. ;D

Come on Somerset. I'd watch your back this weekend making comments like that Ghengis. Not aware of many weegies going to Bydgoszcz, but I sure know a lot of Monarchs fans that are heading along. Gutted I can't get along to Smallmead tonight as I'd have been cheering the Racers on for the second time in a row (cheered them as they extinguished Kings Lynn's title challenge last time). Wackie for the night. Rico

Spineless from the Racers with only Ostergaard competitive (allegedly).
From the texts I got it sounds like a bit of a gate and go fest tonight.
Difference between the sides from the KO cup match I saw earlier in the season, and tonight, Brent Werner. He was half a lap behind that day in all his races, today he is on paid 9 after 4 heats, 3 rides.
Well done Rebels. Going to be an exciting / tense end to the PL League season.

Spineless & pathetic Rico, Ostergaard apart. Was pretty much gate n go unless Ullie was in the race, nothing to do with the track, more to do with the rest of the Racers being shit. Messers, Holloway & Legg quite rightly not at all happy with performances tonight. Suchanek, to be fair looked more on the pace than any of the other 4 (I exclude Ben Taylor from any critisism) but was still easily outpaced by the Rebels. Lemon - well tbh he's been a major disappointment all season. Should have been one of the league's big boys but in reality looks like a 2nd string. Still has a nice tidy average to line up in 2nd or 3rd h/l slot for Exeter next season Madsen - shit, slow and obviously needs sat nav to go any further out than a yard off the white line. Looked tonight to be shutting off for the 1st bend before he'd crossed the start/finish line. Mills - still spends too much time on his arse. Another disappointment this year. Doesn't look to have progressed since his last proper stint with the Racers in the PL. Yep, I know he's a nice bloke, salt of the earth etc, etc etc. But far too inconsistent, like I said spends too much time on his arse rather than on his bike. Endearing when he was a fresh faced 20 year old full or battling spirit, but frustrating & disappointing now he's been around a while. Warwick - again too slow, wobbled into the 2nd corner after making a couple of good starts & gave away easy points. tbh he didn't look interested. If we were running next season, the only 2 riders I'd like to see back in Racers colours would be Ostergaard & Nicki Glanz. The rest of them could go fuck up someone else's team. Take nothing away from Somerset, they are a decent team, it was always going to be difficult tonight to turn them over, and when you got 5 of the team riding like women (c) Woffinden it becomes impossible. Talking of riding like women - special mention to Jordan Frampton in heat 15 for his professional dive after he shat himself when Ullie flew past him. Robbed us of what was shaping up to be a great race as Ostergaard chased Doyle. Looking forward to reading the Somerset forum tomorrow after Reading fans gave Miss Frampton a loud chorus of boo's when he appeared for the Ht 15 re-run, according to them, that sort of behaviour apparently ain't cricket, or speedway. Edited to add. C'mon the Monarchs. ;D

Couldn't agree more Wacks. Was stood on centre green when Frampton cacked his pants and was horrified when the blue light went on.
Doyle spent half the night on the telephone to Mr Gay chopsing about the track like the little twat he is and Tom P rode like a goon......

Rico, but Somerset have played it fair this season. They've got a terrific racetrack (maybe the best in the whole country) and Jordan Frampton is a tremendously aggressive rider, who I really enjoy watching. I'd like to see them win the Premier League. What's wrong with that? But I wouldn't mind if Edinburgh won it either, despite some dubious use of R/R for THJ.

Rico, but Somerset have played it fair this season. What do you mean by playing it fair? But I wouldn't mind if Edinburgh won it either, despite some dubious use of R/R for THJ. Ahhh I see. That old chestnut. Silly me for bothering to reply.

I'd agree with you on both of the points you've made there regarding Somerset. Frampton is a great rider to watch and I do enjoy my visits to Somerset. However, you clearly were brainwashed when you were in the land of the great unwashed as you do appear to be somewhat anti-Edinburgh since your trip north. Sometimes things do get a tad tedious. Rico

Rico, nonsense, I'm not anti-Edinburgh at all. I think the challenging track produces good racing and the fans are very welcoming, as indeed they are at all the northern tracks. However, the whole THJ business leaves a rather sour taste in the mouth. The bloke should have been banned for 12 months for extracting the urine out of the sport in this country - it's as simple as that.

I'm a bit lost with all the TJH jibes - what exactly is the gripe? Was he riding in some other country when he should have been at Edinburgh - if so when & why.
I thought Edinburgh had been granted r/r for him whenever he's been away so the absences have been valid.
