Does anyone really expect this fixture to take place on Monday?Have to say that I didn't so that was a positive for Peterborough.
Due to Andersen's ban and Crump's injury the Belle Vue faithful were served up a poor fixture for top dollar.
Spot on Rigsby. Probably the easiest win the Aces will have all season, well maybe when Wolves arrive that will be.
No fight or passion from the Panthers riders in the early stages of the meeting. Vissing spent more time on his arse than on his bike. EF in heat 1 whilst third and then three falls after that in pretty much the same place on the track. Bjerre was woeful...but that's Bjerre for you. Worldbeater when he gates, novice when he doesn't. Bager battled hard in his later rides and did well in them. King was ok but at times erratic and picking the wrong racing lines (not that Kirky Lane has that many). Risager and Proctor were ok, nothing more nothing less.
For Belle Vue Doolan was shit considering he spent last season with us. Gjedde was his usual self. Outgated by Bjerre in one heat, battled hard for 2 laps to try and pass him then settled for second. Forsberg was good value but fluffed the gate in heat 14. Screenie was back to what I consider his best, gating well, winning races but still being beaten by riders you wouldn't expect to beat him round Kirky Lane. Simmons was shit, no other words for it and I think we're stuck with him until the end of the season. Hougaard was bloody amazing, worth the entrance fee alone. Great gating, great riding and value for money. Deserved the nod in heat 15 alongside Gjedde. The only downside to Patricks great start for the Aces is that the usual mob will be on his case if he doesn't get double figures in his next home match.
I don't know who chooses the Rider of the Night award but they got it wrong last night giving it to Screenie. Definitely should have been Patrick.
