Sunday 13th April 2008 Glasgow vrs Kings Lynn
Glasgow Tigers 1 The Messiah 2 Mrs Brady 3 Trento 4 Mitchell Davey 5 Robert Size-ak 6 Josh future Messiah 7 Big Lee
Kings Lynn 1 Thomas Topinka 2 Shaun Tacey 3 Kevin Doolan 4 Kozza Smith 5 Krusty 6 John Oliver 7 Simon Lambert
The sky is blue and everything is set for a fascinating encounter today at the Messiahdome . Kings Lynn bounced back after their humiliation on Friday , by overcoming a wet track and elastic band starts , in getting a draw in Barbaria . Today is a different ball game though as they come up against a back to normal Messiah and his disciples . After single handidly taking on the Monarchs last week , his greatness now turns his attentions to the league favourites . I confidently expect an 8 point victory for our boys , but it will be entertaining .

Should be an interesting encounter, no doubt about that. I'd say it'd be a super result if Glasgow could get a positive result out of this one.

A bit disappointing , but in all honesty if we'd stole it at the end it would have been very hard on Kings Lynn - who were much the better team . Great entertainment though .

It looks as if the "Messiahdome" saw a super meeting this afternoon. It's disappointing for the locals to see their team lose, but any neutrals knocking about would probably have enoyed themselves. Mitchell Davey seems to be really struggling at the minute and is in need of a spell at reserve. But will it help him, or is his confidence already shot to pieces?

In all honesty Sub ( and i know it's early days ) i dont think a spell at reserve will make a blind bit of difference . I'm sorry to say that i don't see anything which suggests to me that young Mitchell has the ability to hold his own in the PL . I hope i'm wrong , but i dont think i am . The difference between him and Kozza Smith ( 1st time on the track ) was a yawning chasm . Having signed him on a 2 year deal , our promotion will obviously perservere with him - Mrs Brady however could be a different case .

Paulco, has anything been mentioned about the restaging of the Bears meeting?

Paulco, has anything been mentioned about the restaging of the Bears meeting? It said in yesterday's programme , round about mid-May was a possibility . Mind you that could mean a Monday or Tuesday night extra meeting . That's what happened last year when we had the Spring Trophy against the forces of evil on a Tuesday night in May .

I'd be surprised if Glasgow win this one, to be honest - they almost certainly won't if the Messiah doesn't go unbeaten.

So Birmingham have drafted in Jason King as a guest . And as he's not very good it gives us a bit of a chance .

Just where are all the points going to come from for Birmingham for an away win. Even if Lyons and Roynon were to hit 30 between them there doesn't seem to be much sting in the tail. Of course Birmingham have pulled out some incredible results over the last few weeks so you never know but the likes of King, Hargreaves and Roberts aren't likely to install terror in the Glasgow ranks. The sole unknown is really Lee Smart but he ain't at reserve anymore. I think the Tigers will win by about ten points or so but I would still make the Brummies big favourites to win on aggregate.

I'll be surprised if Glasgow don't win this. Merlin may well be surprised now, but I'm not. Yes, sadly for paulco, the heathen Tigers did lose and rather heavily at that (40:52). For Birmingham the points came mainly from Lyons (a paid maximum of 16+2 from 6 rides), Jason King (11 from 5) and Adam Roynon (9+1 from 5). For Glasgow it looks like only the "Messiah" (14 from 5, including 4 from a Tactical Substitute ride) and to as lesser extent Leverington (8 from 5) bothered themselves. Ksiezak looks to have been particularly embarrassing, scoring a mere 3+1 from 4. Is Elite League stardom going to his head?
