It appears that Mildenhall have signed 17 year old Finn, Jari Makinen. Jari is the son of former Sheffield rider Rauli.
Does anyone have any more info on the guy?

He was rumoured to have been signing for Berwick earlier in the season, and I guess it was only a matter of time before someone snapped him up. f-s-p on the BSF has been singing his praises for as long as I can remember, but recently it does seem he is worth talking about - in his own country at least.
The 2007 U21 Finnish Champion has a little experience of riding here - in the Ashfield Classic, and at Edinburgh where he rode as part of the Finnish select team, but unfortunately crashed early on. He's young, and, according to those who would know, a good prospect.
I guess the best person to ask here for more information would be twominutewarning.

Rode in the Ashfield classic last year - wisnae very good , only scored about 3 or 4 . Looked nowhere near as good as Aarnio who rides for Berwick .

Here we are talking about his riding abilities, when I bet he only wanted to know his birthday. Here you go, from his website: Name - Jari Aulis Mäkinen Date of Birth - June 13th 1990 Place of Birth - Hämeenkyrö, Finland

Not a bad debut by the lad by all accounts actually. Understandably off the pace a bit, but considering he has no track experience whatsoever around Mildenhall, he done well.

Somerset have released Henning Loof, who now joins the Mildenhall team. He'll make his debut on Saturday against Kings Lynn, and will ride at number four to partner Kaj Laukkanen.
Good luck (again!) Henning.

It seems that Mildenhall have signed Michal Rajkowski after he was axed by the Belle Vue Aces.

Yes, and a good signing by all accounts. At least now, we will be tracking 7 Fen Tigers instead of 6 - and with the signing of Rajkowski, hopefully start to pick up some wins. I guess we line up as follows now:
1..Michal Rajkowski 2..Jan Graversen 3..Kaj Laukkanen 4..Henning Loof 5..Robbie Kessler 6..Mark Baseby 7..Jari Makinen

Certainly is another tough one, and they aren't getting any easier. I can't see anything else apart from a Monarchs victory, but hopefully we'll keep it closer than it was last Sunday against Rye House.
