Going off subject slightly, but involving David Tenant, he has the honour (in my eyes) as the best Dr Who. Yes, even better than Tom Baker and that took a lot of doing! David Tennant's stories are of the highest quality that Doctor Who or just any other TV programme has seen - Doctor Who these days is amazingly good. But in terms of the actual actor, I still rate Tom Baker as No. 1. Baker is a natural eccentric with a huge presence and was born to play the part. He dominated every story he was in. Just watch him in a story such as Genesis Of The Daleks, Talons Of Weng-Chiang or City Of Death. Tennant is fantastic as well though. Been watching the box set over the last few days and today watched the two-parter where the Doctor becames human. Tennant's acting is that is quite brilliant. Freema Agyeman is delicious as Martha. Shame she's only in some of the next season - I much prefer her to either Billie Piper or Catherine Tate - both in terms of looks and as an actress.

Can we then nominate the delicious David Tennant, not only for being the best looking non-human on telly but also for being a brilliant actor (loved him in Casanova and Blackpool).

I don't know too much about Jon Cook, but I'll second the latter. Does anyone know what was in the SS yet?

I don't know too much about Jon Cook, but I'll second the latter. Does anyone know what was in the SS yet? Ok before i go & blow my brains out with the amber nectar here's a synop of what Cookie says regarding Oxford. "British Speedway could team up to offer both parties a brighter future" says Cook The Cowley track could be saved if 6 meetings are run there this year, & Cook believes EL national events should be held there in a bid to keep it's planning permission in place. And he says Lakeside would happily hand over the British Under 21 Final they've been allocated for 2008 if it helped keep alive Oxford's chances of returning to the sport as a club. He also says the K.O Cup & CS Final are other potential meetings that could help save Oxford, or even the Elite League Pairs title. He said"They might not be abe to support EL speedway there with the crowds they we're getting but that's irrelevant in this case. Swindon, Poole,Coventry & Wolvesare effectively on the doorstep & that gives the sport a fantastic neutral facility that we could use, also we would be helping keep Oxford going as a speedway track. Cook wants to see the EL's 2 cup competitions recieve much more support & promotion after years where they have been allowed to fall way behind the league championship in terms of significance & prestige. 1 of the key factors that could lead to a resurgence for both events would be a switch to a neutral venue, which is where Oxford could come in. The argument against the move as always been financial in that it would take away 2 big pay days for the clubs. But Cook says the Hammers outfit he runs with owner Stuart Douglas would be happy to race at a neutral venue as it would give a real sense of occasion. He said"We would do that, for sure.I think it's to late to agree it for the KO Cup this season but w could definetly try it for the CS. Why don't we look at Oxford being an independent track to old meetings like that? "I would love to see the cup final held on a neutral track, & the sooner it happens the better. My heart goes out to Oxford fans for what happened. We profited in a way with picking up Lubos & Ricky, but i would happily do without those signings if it meant Oxford we're still going & we could help keep the tack in place.I'll be contacting the BSPA this week to suggest we try to help Oxford & the sport.

Thanks for that booeyboy. A top man, Jon Cook, and a very interesting idea. Let's hope the GRA can see the potential in it.
