But the riders love him, anything will do as long as they're earning the dosh from it

I assume Sub will now refer to Nicholls as the "Buggar" after that move. With a guaranteed place on the line for the GPs I can't blame the guy for the move but it was a shocking decision from the referee not to call a halt to proceedings there and then. Pleased for Holta as he was the only one of the three who wouldn't have gotten in if he had finished last. Rico

Desperate times call for desperate measures and the former British champion's measure was certainly desperate. But he got away with it. And Harris has learnt a lesson tonight. He's messed around since Cardiff. Hopefully he'll learn from this lesson.

Nicholls is a knob! Ahhhh.... a sentiment I have shared for a considerable amount of time. How he got away with his move on bomber is a disgrace. This ref should not be allowed anywhere near a GP again.

My daughter and her partner came around tonight and cooked us a meal and to watch the GP and I did what I did when my kids were small watching the F1 GP on TV and had a sweep stake. I put the top 8 names in a hat and the four of us selected two riders each. I put up the prize of £10.00 and a bottle of bubbly for the winner. I picked Nicki and Greg. Denise picked Leigh and Jason, Sarah had Gollob and Andersen, Sarah's partner Michael picked Scott and Bomber. So we were all screaming all night for various reasons. It was a one racing line track sadly and so it prevented a lot of over taking so from that aspect it was poor GP. Sorry to see Hans crash out like that it was not his fault with the third and fourth beds rutting up badly and Scott on Chris was a bit of dubious move and decision really but all in all a good night entertainment for us. Thought Jason ‘s interview at the end was magnanimous. Congratulations to Andreas and Nicki. (As Greg come second in the final, so I was in theory the winner of our little sweepstake though I gave the bottle of bubbly and the tenner anyway to Sarah and Michael…)

Did anyone notice the bloke with dirty blonde hair in a ponytail and a gold medallion who seemed determined to get in camera shot at every possible opportunity during the coverage of the German GP ? He seemed to be pretty much everywhere and I'm surprised he wasn't up there shaking the bubbly with the winners. I'd have thought whoever was running the show would have spotted this fame-seeker and had him kicked out or under control at least. Rico

Well having returned from Germany I can firmly say I won't be going to watch another GP there! Hotel- good Company -good Organisation - awful ( the gates shown on our ticket weren't open so we had to queue to get in at another and then queue to be searched. No merchandise for sale outside. The credit card purchasing fiasco for food or drink) Track-awful Atmosphere-err, there wasn't any I didn't get to see the incident in the race off, cos by start of the re-run of the second semi we were already on our way to get the train back to Essen, thats how boring it was.. I wish I'd saved my money and stayed at home. If they think they've sold that farce to the German public or any other new punter, then they too are deluded Well done AJ.. ;D

Well pity we didn't meet Jacques, having said that perhaps we were squashed up together in the melee to actually be allowed into the stadium. Fantastic journey to Germany, fabulous company, Hotel etc. Rubbish organisation by/on behalf of the stadium, no signs at all to get you to the stadium, and then to have printed "in error" the wrong gate number, and if that wasn't bad enough only open about 2 gates , anyway in to be frisked, poor notification of "token" only purchasing power, and also was unaware that you could in fact get a refund on the bloody card if you still had money on it . Absolutely no atmosphere, poor viewing due to the sloping back seats, and although not an admirer of the air horn, they were sorely missed. Small rubbish track, poor lighting and probably the worst GP this season. And to cap it all that flapperjack Nicholls behaviour in the run off, and the poor decision of the ref. Well done AJ, but Nicki it was your night. The plus for me, spending the Friday night in our hotel bar with Phil Crump, John Louis and Erik Gundersen...magic. In spite of the GP, I had a marvellous weekend.

In spite of the GP, I had a marvellous weekend. I presume we were in the same hotel then Badge, as Crumpie was just checking out on Saturday as we were checking in. Rather surprisingly, he said that the track was good. Then again, from the interviews I saw when I watched it back on Sky, it seems that the track changed quite a bit overnight. Agree with everything you (and others) have said about the event generally. I won't be going again next year. Atmosphere was rubbish, and it's all been said about the organisation and the track. Dire. Still, at least I had a nice little wager on AJ to win which paid for the weekend. ;D
