Would i be risking being burnt at the stake by suggesting maybe Gollob being dropped? ?Must say i can see some last places on saturday for Gollob,Balinski and Walasek(although i have been impressed with Greg).Holder and Schlein will also find it hard

Several shots of Team GB tonight but none of us could see Nicholls. Were we distracted or was he not there? Seems strange not to interview the captain.

Well can't say i am convinced with either team tonight.maybe Australia will make a change for the Final.Poland look very beatable by Denmark and i reckon GB can really get among them and cause problems. I see where you're coming from. Australia have a glaring weakness in Rory Schlein, which my undo all the wonderful efforts of Crump, Adams and Sullivan - I think they've got to go with Watt in the final. Poland, on the other hand, didn't exhibit a glaring weakness, but none of them looked particularly strong. I wait to see what the draw is before deciding a winner, since it appears to me that gate positions in this format are certainly unequal - during a critical phase of the meeting tonight the Poles had 4 outside gates (very favourable) in the space of 5 races (Hts 11 through 15) and they scored 14 points from them.

If I was a betting person,I'd be putting my money on the Dames sorry I meant Danes .. I won't see it, cos I'm on my holidays, so my hopes are Team GB obviously, and probably the Aussies next ( cos of Rory) but I have a sneaky feeling the Poles will do it( just for you Sub)

No twas a genuine question. Four of us watched it and none of us saw Nicholls. Was he there, did they interview him? We saw Bomber and Steady being interviewed and I saw Olly Allen and Middlo.

Pretty good assesment.I would drop Schlein.Holder at least battles away more.My feeling is that Poland maybe also need a change.Hampel and KK i would definitely keep.I think Walasek showed he can fight for position as well as gate,so it's between Balinski + Gollob. Both i feel will be weak links, but it is Balinskis home track so give him the benefit.Or will Tomek rise to the occasion?Glad i am not the manager ;D

Kept saying "ya know", just not as good as Nicki does it.

He looked right skinny to me I'm afraid I didn't see him - was too busy running up and down the stairs filling in the details of the meeting (television is downstairs, computer upstairs), so I can't really comment.

Good warm-up for Boycey and the Boys, now they all know their way around Leszno. Never change a winning team - I see a few well-developed anti-Schlein chips-on-the-shoulder in this thread - leave team management up to the Face and concentrate on what youse Poms do best - whingeing about yer own side!!

I see a few well-developed anti-Schlein chips-on-the-shoulder in this thread I really don't care one way or the other about Schlein - I just think that, in Poland, Watt is a stronger rider.

G'day youse mob! Acksherly Jaques I've bin in tha Shower - oh, sorry, A Shower is a device for wakin'up an' washin' first thing in the morning - personal hygeine, ya dig? As for ROOBOY's selection I admit a healthy TERRITORIAN Bias for our local boy. Contrast last year at Reading, Schlein was omitted in favour of Travis McGowan for the final. Did he expectorate the Pacifier, hurl his Apprentice Human Being Calming device ( that's a Rattle) outta his pram with all his other Toys and stomp out of the pits? Or did he take it on the chin and stick around to support the side? I know who I'd rather have in the team - no room for Prima Donnas.
