As a few of you may know after 14 years and entering the '60's of age zone I now feel I want to paint something else and do other things with my life than paint motorbikes.
However, I love this sport so much and so I am in the process of negotiating with a rider for one more limited edition print.
Since I included speedway in my art print portfolio we have only sold out of totally of one limited edition print: Mark Loram.
So, if it can be arranged with Mark and his manager (obviously we want them all signed by him too) my next and last limited edition print for Speedway will be of Mark. If it all can be agreed it will be available in November and will be a limited edition of at the most 150 prints only.

No, of course not Steve. ;D
Its a big difference for me to paint a 'one off original' for an individual and bring out some limited edition prints too.
It would seem bragging if I said here and now whom I have quoted for paintings recently (which does not include any world champions) but maybe the price is too high. I can appreciate that, as I could not afford them myself.
But (sube is going to hate this.. ;D) If Jason Crump thinks its worth it and asks me 'how did you do that' then I have to stick to the price I ask and I will always paint an original as long as I can pick up a brush. I just want your scrapbook for one... Whatdoyourekon? ;D

Steve, whenever your ready (I know your not in any hurry Sky Rocket told me..) Just email me over a really decent photo I can work with as a reference and I will get on it. Must be very sharp though with plenty of detail.
If you want a different race bib or whatever (with JC I had to change the handlebar sponsors to his personal ones for him to Polish ones that Sube will be aware of and I am surprised he or anyone else has not picked me up on that print yet.. ;D) I'll need that as well.

Oh don't remind me about sponsors. I remember advising putting personal sponsors on the handlebars of your Gollob painting. Only problem being, that they weren't sponsoring Gollob for much longer after that. Whoops, sorry young fellow, you should've stuck to your guns on that one.

No problem Sube its set in stone now and I really appreciated your input on that project.
Denise thinks its the best speedway painting/print I have ever produced and thanks to your help. I recently donated one to a good cause through the Polish Speedway forum who were going to get TG to sign it and auction it for a good cause. Maybe, you can advise me on that as I do not watch the Polish speedway web sites so much.
It was a joint venture like anything and your input was very much appreciated. If you wish to have a wee little comp on here for your members I would happily donate a print of TG or GH if you prefer.

That's Schumi's department young fellow. As for the Polish forums, I'd suggest slav at the BSF or Speedway Updates is your best bet - he speaks the language and is well connected in the sport. He and his brother run MSJ Speedway Promotions and are jolly decent fellows.

I can and will. (Do not tell Ross Garrigan on the speedway history forum..) but I have playing about with painting of Vic Huxley (sube rushes to his speedway history books..) who was a top Aussi going back before Ron Johnson. Also, I must paint a picture soon of 'wee' George Newton - my late mothers favorite rider at New Cross. I know will not be able to sell these but I think they will find a home at the speedway museum. So that is no doubt where they will end up but thanks for your input Stuart. Ron is one of my all time favourites and was lucky enough to see him ride.

If slav said it'll happen, it'll happen. I remember they did a charity auction on their website at the start of the year. And they handle the affairs of Jacek and Marcin Rempala, who are team mates of Tomasz Gollob in Poland, so getting it signed shouldn't be a problem. You could try sending a message to cardersrash at the BSF - he handles the British aspects of MSJ's speedway portfolio.

Paul,
I am just a fan of New Cross and I really only remember Ron Johnson coming back and riding again at a very mature age bless him which was not too successful.
The best bloke to cop on this if your doing some serious study on RJ is Norbold (another member on here) and a very astute speedway historian, author and New Cross fan.
