SWINDON boss Alun Rossiter has slammed reports suggesting the club are close to signing Edinburgh's Swedish ace Thomas H Jonasson.
Rossiter has admitted the club have registered their interest in the rider who won rave reviews during his time with the Scottish side.
Said Rossiter: "We have a great relationship with Edinburgh and I don't want a press report to jeapordise that. We are interested and that's as far as it goes at this stage."

I guess the nominations may make this more likely - Adrian was exciting to watch at the EoES in the World Cup and I would have loved him to come and ride for us but somewhere in the UK would be better than none.

Taken from Swindon Advertiser:
Robins ready to listen to offers for want-away Troy 9:00am Thursday 19th November 2009

TROY Batchelor has been put up for sale by Swindon, with Robins boss Alun Rossiter claiming: “We don’t want someone who doesn’t want to ride for us.”
The Aussie, who spent the majority of last season on loan, has had his request to spend another season away from Blunsdon turned down by Robins’ management.
And now Peterborough are believed to be leading a three-club chase for the Queenslander, who had initially voiced his intent to return to the Abbey Stadium in 2010 following his spell with Ipswich last term.
Batchelor’s change of heart came as a disappointment to Rossiter, who insisted that snapping up the 22-year-old had been his top priority, behind sealing the signature of skipper Leigh Adams.
“Apart from Leigh, Troy was always going to be on our cards,” insisted Rossiter.
“We wanted him for next season and we looked at him as a rider that was going forwards.
“He has gone from a 5.7 average to a 6.7 average and we felt he could progress to over eight next year.
“It made it a lot harder (to decide on a line-up) because we didn’t envisage there being a problem. We planned for him to spearhead the team with Leigh.
“I’m disappointed because I kept in contact with him all last season when he was out on loan with Ipswich, and everything seemed fine. Then all of a sudden he doesn’t want to ride for you.”
The Swindon chief believes the youngster is still hurting from the episode that saw him fail to regain his place, after he broke his wrist in mid-May.
Batchelor suffered the injury in a crash against Wolverhampton at the Abbey and Rossiter believes that his replacement, Matej Zagar, made himself un-droppable with a series of spectacular performances, resulting in the Aussie switching to the Witches on loan.
“I think he’s still smarting from being dropped, but if he hadn’t crashed he wouldn’t have got dropped.” said Rossiter.
“If I had dropped Zagar after the way he rode, I would have been sacked as manager.
“You can’t drop someone who comes in and starts scoring 15 points. Zagar turned our season around, make no bones about that.”

Seems like Swindle have done the dirty on Lee Richardson, after recalling him although he alledgedly had agreed terms with the Peskies, this appeared on Rico's twitter:

Surely BV, Eastbourne, Coventry or even Ipswich could fit him in?

Oh no......that is terrible ! Well if he had done a deal with Lakeside it seems to me like Swindon weren't the only party guilty of 'doing a dirty'!!! Surely if a 'deal had been done' with Lakeside and then he entered into talks with Swindon, he's pretty much brought it upon himself!!

Kev I know he wasn't one of your favourites, but the understanding was that Swindle recalled him , I'm assuming after Troy dropped his bombshell, so how can it be his fault if his parent club refused the Pesky signing And can't see him as a Witch somehow ( fingers crossed)
